Ok here is my story idea. Not sure how good it is or even if it will work.
You and your team are a guild that protects this city (sorry no name yet) from any intruders and such. Mainly from Lypnords (just made up name) that are a race of lizards, who are assassins.
Someone comes running into your guild and informs you of a Lypnord that has been spotted in the forest outside of town. Your team heads into the forest and finds chests planted there with armor, weapons, items and some cash in them. (Like someone from within the town is helping and paying this freak to do this job! It also fits your characters too! )
On your first attempt this lizard assassin freak uses a sleep spell on your team... You wake up four hours later and head to town to find out someone (not sure who) has been killed. So after talking to the doctor, you find out about a plant that grows in the swamp to the south that can be used as a vaccine against this sleep spell. Your team goes to this swamp and retrieves it for the doctor. (Now next time he can't cheap out and put us asleep!)
Then finally another one is spotted, this time in a cave northeast of town, and again you find chests with armor, weapon, items and some cash. When you reach him and win the battle against him, you find a note with a mans picture and address. You question this lizard right before he dies and get very limited info. But, you do get a little! When you get back to town, the man thanks you and rewards your team for saving his life.
What it is that happens is you keep getting a little more info each time on who is hiring these freaks until finally you figure it out.
Note: The sooner you figure it out, the better ending you get! The game will have "Training Missions" you can do to build up your team. It will have some town events ect...
