    Crown Royal

I was cleaning out my cabinets and found some old liquor my parents had stored away when they lived here:

A bottle of Crown Royal, still sealed (plastic wrap and everything) that is 17+ years old.

A bottle of Disaronno Amaretto that's 1/3rd full, that's about as old.

A box with a bunch of tiny bottles in it with various types of whisky.

I tried to google Crown Royal and can't find anything on it... how much is a bottle of Crown Royal? How much would a 17+ year old bottle be? I could care about the other stuff... but Crown Royal seems to have been a family favorite according to my brother, aunt, dad, etc.

...or should I just wait for a special occasion, crack it open and let the good times roll?
    Keep the change.

Save it for a very special occasion.

I prefer Royal Crown to Crown Royal.

I think I hear of Crown Royal before. I think it suppose to be pretty good. Save it for a raining day. Wikipedia says to add it to Coca-Cola.

Straight Crown Royal is delicious. Does it still have the excellent little holding sack?

I have a hard time with CR. I still stick with good old Jaeger.

              You damn right it does.

Or at least, this particular bottle.

When my Dad moved out, he said he didn't give a rat's arse what I did with the house... but DON'T touch the Crown Royal. I never paid much attention to this, as I didn't even know where it was at the time. I'm gonna ask him about it, and see what's so special about the bottle. Maybe it has some sentimental value to him.

...but it'd better be DAMN sentimental to keep a 17 year old bottle of that stuff sealed.

Crown and Coke are two friends of mine. We need to get re-acquainted.

                    Re: Crown Royal

The tradition of Crown Royal began in 1939 with the first Royal Tour of Canada by reigning British monarchs, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. To mark this historic occasion, Samuel Bronfman, President of the Seagram Company, decided to create a quality whisky to be packaged in a crown-shaped bottle and dressed in a distinctive royal purple bag. -Wikipedia

My mother drinks Crown Royal by the barrel since she cant down regular beer due to her diet.

My father gets it for a great price (and tax free) at the AAFES at Lackland Air Force Base.

When mixed with apple soda from Mexico, its a great drink.

Its usually already been aged when you buy it.
