This might make you fall in love with it. I watched a few episodes of the series, and got hooked. I can't wait for the next one!

Maybe if the show was more like the above, it'd probably revolutionize saturday morning television.

I love Yu-Gi-Oh. Mostly the card game but also the first version of the TV show. Sure it was just a glorified advertisement and tutorial for the game but I actually liked the story. I'm easy to please most of the time, though.

Card game is playable (I used to be a magic:the gathering fan, but they've ramped it up so much it's impossible for players with the old black bordered cards.)
As for the show...I actually liked the first season. I know, it's still power of friendship crap but at least they have numbers to explain whats happening, rather then pokemons "Pikachu! I made a heartwarming speech! YOU ARE TEN TIMES STRONGER NOW!"

I like the card game, TV show is corny sometimes though, actually alot of times but I still watch it. Bakura season was my favorite no stupid cards, well until the end.

I'm afraid of the next season that supposed to come out. I think its going to stab the storyline into a million different pieces and blow it up with a grenade.
Since well, Bakura season was supposed to be the last season.

I've read like 38+ chapters of the manga (because it's always taking up space in Shonen Jump), and it never gets any better. I thought when they went back to ancient Egypt things would improve, but it was just another stupid set up to play the card game, only this time they have BA and KA energies!!! DERRRRRRR! It's the most predictable series ever. Also, I hate that the artist uses a watered-down version of Hirohiko Araki's (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure) style.

When I used to work at the pet store, I'd watch whatever was on during my lunch break, and sometimes I'd catch the yugioh show. It's even worse than the manga! My friend summed it up perfectly: "why the hell did I just watch a show about choosing cards for 30 minutes???"

When youtube is back up, I'll check out the link. It sounds like I would enjoy it.

I thought the show had real potential, but then it just go stupid in parts. But the worst thing is the constant reminder of what certain cards do. Even ones they been playing for every other eposide!

I really like the card game, and made some powerful fire and water decks, but sadly I have no one to play with.

my point exactly. but, that's also why i don't like other kinds of anime. like i was watching naruto from the first episode.. they sit there and have a 10 min. explanation of what they're going to do next, then it happens, then another 10 min. of flashback or some kind of critical analysis of what just happened. repeat.

meanwhile, everyone involved just stands there frozen in time.

A show based on a card game about playing a card game... or is it a card game based on a show about playing a card game. That alone turned me off of the entire series.

I'm still waiting for a WiFi multiplayer Yu-Gi-Oh on DS. I rented Nightmare Troubador and it was good but I'd rather play against real people. I don't have the drive to deal with the real cards. And I know my cousin who loves Yu-Gi-Oh (and absolutely any anime that's on Cartoon Network, hey he's 13 give him a break) will get it so I can play against him.
