Every time I try to find an avatar, it's always too big. At first I thought to just keep looking, but then it just got fustrating. :|

Maybe try resizing your avatar choice(s) in MS paint or photoshop. I had to shrink mine down in order to meet the size restrictions.

I should of thought about that. Thanks for the suggestion! But still, some pictures just don't look as good when you shrink it.

Very true. I guess just see which image ends up looking the best at a reduced size.

Know any websites where I can find a lot of good ones?

I'd use the image search option on google. Just plug in a search term for something you're interested in, and see what comes up.

not upping the dimensions or sizes for avatars, since they're stored on the pavilion server.

If you want me to, I can shrink it down for you. I'm pretty good at shrinking stuff down and preserving the original image.

Just use Photogadget's Picture Resize Tool to resize any image. Its up for a free download at www.download.com.
I'm glad there's a restriction on ava sizes. I can barely tolerate some people'e huge sigs, much less avas if they were given the chance.

Oh yeah, and imageshack.us gives you the option to resize the image right as you upload.

Okay, I have none of the software you guys mentioned. Can you resize pictures on iPhoto?

You should have Microsoft paint, that is if your computer isn't a restrictive mac.
If you have to, just use imageshack (link listed above). They have an auto-resize tool when you upload.
Restrictive Mac. LOL. Wow.
Anyway, The Gnu Image Manipulation Project has an open source rival to Adobe's Photoshop.

I've been having another Pavilion member shrink down the avatar that I choose for me. But everytime he shrinks it down it still says its too big even though its not. :(

Photobucket is a web site, not a program.
