Next Generation Console...?

Hey, I'm sure there's already been several of these, but I'm curious...

What do you want to get first? The XBox 360 (if you don't already have one), PS3, or Wii, and why?

Me, I really want to get the Wii. I'm a hardcore Nintendo fan, and the Wii is extremely interactive. Sure, the graphics aren't as good as the PS3 or 360, but, as I had hoped, there's a game that's like a cross between a generic first person shooter and duck hunt. The Wii just looks so awesome.

After the Wii, I'd probably get the PS3, due to the graphics as good as XBox, and the free online play. Plus, there's a few series I really like for the Sony consoles, mainly Armored Core and the RPG Makers (DUH).

Seriously. I want to get the Wii, so maybe I can get all of my friends into videogames. Not just the male ones .

Besides, my Xbox360 took a Wii on your PS3.

I want a 360 right now. quite a few games available that I consider "must-play", and even more on the way.

Wii is my most wanted, primarity for the virtual console.

I have no intention of even considering getting a PS3 until Hideo Kojima says I need to.

Here's what I learned about the consoles:

XBox 360

Most recently released, it has a wider selection of games. Although online play costs money, some games can actually support up to 10,000 (yes, 10 thousand) players. The graphics are amazing ect. ect. You all know about it, so why am I still talking.

PS3

It'll be released (I think) November 7. For this, Sony is focusing on processes and graphics. The graphics are every bit as superior as the 360's, yet the AI in some games is extremely impressive. For example, the game Assasin's Creed, other NPCs walking in the streets don't take rude gestures kindly. Shove them, and they might push back, sometimes even trying to take you down in a fight. And, if they start to lose, they'll either flee or call their friends. As for online play, not as supportive for so many players, yet it's free, and the downloads for game add-ons are also free (I believe).

Wii

Definatly the most interactive system. The graphics are only about half as good as the 360's and PS3's. It'll be released sometime in Mid November. As you all know, the controller can be used in a variety of ways, from a sword to a gun to a fishing rod. In the game Red Steel, you can actually use it to fire at opponets with your gun, or swing your remote around to slash with your sword. Bringing a sword to a gunfight is never a good idea, but is still great fun.

Somebody needs to do some side-by-side comparisons of offical screenshots of games from these systems.

Anyway, me, first Wii. Nintendo fan, I am, plus the Revmote sounds cool and the Virtual Console sounds like one of the best ideas ever. Then the 360, because there are games on it I want.

PS3 I'm only considering because of there potentially being a Ratchet & Clank game on it, and that's hardly reason enough. Besides, I can't spend $600 all at once. Except when I got this computer, but that's different.

Im loving my 360 so far.

Playing Chrome Hounds to the Pirates of the Caribbean soindtrack is one of the most epic things you can do. Im gonna get Dead Rising once I start to get bored with Chrome Hounds, wich isnt gonna be for a while.

You can cutomize so much dman stuff its crazy. Leagues ahead of Armored Core the level of customization.

I want to get an Xbox 360 right now but, I don't know if I'll have the money to buy one before Wii comes out. If I don't, I might just wait until a price drop or Halo 3 comes out.

Right now, I want to get the Wii mostly to play Nintendo's games. It sounds like third parties will be supporting the Wii in a big way though.

I've already got the 360, and i think it is a great system. Needs better backwards compatibility with older games though.

PS3 will be next for me. It is a must have system for me, more than any other system. I just has what i want, plus i can play all of my current PS/PS2 games on it, which is even better.

I want the Wii, but i'll definitely be getting it last.

I wuv the 360 so far, and will prolly be getting a Wii at launch cuz it's cheap and Zelda & Warioware. I just hate Nintendo fans because they're annoying as hell, telling me that everything on 360 is just the same as last gen w/ better graphics, when that couldn't be further from the truth.

I will probably get a ps3 down the line, but not until they give me more reasons to get one.

If this doesn't decide it for you nothing will. PS3 v Wii ad by G4. Somebody went and flagged it inappropriate so if you don't have a YouTube login watch it here.

I want a Wii and 360. I think I'll get the Wii at launch and hold off on a 360 for a price drop for two reasons 1) I've still got plenty of PS2 games I haven't finished and a few coming out I want and 2) Most of the games I want on 360 aren't out yet anyway.

PSM did that for 360 and PS3. They compared Resistance: Fall of Man to Call of Duty 2 and Gears of War. They concluded that PS3 launch titles look better than 360 launch titles but not as good as the best of what's coming out on 360 now. Which means the PS3 will probably edge ahead once developers learn to use more of its power.

Armored Core 4 is going to be on PS3 and 360 and right now there's no telling where the next RPGM will land.

Personally, I kinda like the idea of being able to still play a traditional game console for this new generation. Sure these other consoles will likely have traditional games, but if the DS is any indication, those traditional games will seem very out of place on a gimmicky console. Besides, the 360 controller is the best controller I've ever put my hands on.

I have a 360 and love it, I love games like DOA4, Prey, and (oh god) Dead Rising.

But I cannot wait for Wii though, just for the launch line up alone. Zelda Twilite Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Red Steel, Rayman Raving Rabbids, and trauma centre. I don't know how I will ever get to the latter 4 though with Zelda on my list. I think im gonna take a week off work when it comes out.
