JANUARY 23--"Punk'd" may be MTV's most popular show, but the network's lawyers are trying to distance themselves from the program as they prepare to defend a negligence lawsuit brought against Ashton Kutcher and his band of hidden camera pranksters. As we've previously reported, a Washington, D.C. couple is seeking millions in damages in connection with a January 2002 incident at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. After James and Laurie Ryan checked into a suite, the pair discovered what appeared to be a murder victim lying on the floor, covered in blood. At the time, the Ryans were unaware they were being filmed for an MTV pilot called "Harassment," hosted and produced by Kutcher. The laws must be really different in Japan.Zap2It
A hidden-camera show called "Scare Tactics," scheduled to premiere in the spring on the Sci Fi Channel, is facing a lawsuit.
And no, it doesn't involve host Shannen Doherty.
A Los Angeles woman named Kara Blanc is suing the cable channel, "Scare Tactics" creators Scott Hallock and Kevin Healey and two actors who took part in the stunt in which Blanc was unwittingly involved, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Blanc claims she suffered physical and psychological trauma as the result of witnessing a violent encounter with a "space alien" -- one of the performers on the show -- that she believed to be real.Last edited by DarkwingChuck; 08-09-2006, 01:57 AM.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!
