Mysterious touching on the ds touch screen? help!

Alright so i was playing my DS just like any normal day, and all of a sudden, my stylus isnt working...so im like hmm? So i do some testing on games were i can see a line from drawing with the stylus, and it seems that at random times, the touch screen is being 'touched'...this is really annoying. Once i start up the DS it randomly clicks icons, and randomly clips things in games...I put a Hori Screen Protector on my DS today, so does that have anything to do with it? It was working fine all day until this random moment...any ideas guys? Thanks a ton.

Uh im not quite sure what your meaning? I kinda had to since scratches were showing up 3 days after use and i take good care of my ds. This is the item im using: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...lance&n=468642

However, i took the screen protector off this morning, and it seems to work now...so for whatever reason, the screen protector was triggering points on the screen. I just dont see how that would be possible

It's touching the screen. I have to say that is why it goes wacky...

Use qu-tips on it. I wouldn't worry about scratches that much, unless you are really digging into the pad.

Too bad they don't have rubber tips at the ends of the stylus.

Somehow I doubt that the scratches are really anything deep. You can see marks on my DS screen where I've drawn all over, but they mostly wipe off.

I've had my DS since launch and never used a protective screen cover and I have no scratches or problems. People tend to press down on the screen too hard without noticing. If you got scratches after 3 days there's a problem lol.

Can you see the scratches when playing a game? Mine are only noticeable if the screen is turned off or if I have the screen in sunlight (which makes it look even worse, actually).

I bought screen protectors for my DS too. I couldn't figure out how to put them on without it being filled with air bubbles and dust so I just gave up on it. I've had my DS for almost a year now and even let my 12 year old cousin borrow it for a week and have let my 7 year old cousin play with it and it's only got a few small scratches that you can only see by tilting the screen so the light hits it at the right angle. So I'd have to conclude that you must have some kind of screwed up screen or stylus if it's getting scratched that easily.
