I'd rather hate all the people who buy his videos who are responsible for him not being a McDonald's mop boy living in his parent's basement where he belongs.

I'd rather hate him, myself. I'm sure most of the people buying the videos have fooled themselves into thinking there were no bad consequences when the girls and the crew filmed. The others, probably don't care.

I myself never cared for GGW before reading that. Now, I get agitated whenever I see a commercial.

Late night on Comedy Central, the damn infomercials run every few seconds.

Please, will some crazy Dad shoot him out of nowhere?

It's sad that that crazy dad would get arrested and this ****head's death would be lamented in papers as tragic.
So you're a fish out of water...
              Keep swimming.
              What else can you do?

Not if a whole pack of crazy dads came and killed him.

Then they ran into 100 different directions, They wouldn't know which one killed him! Thus, he wouldn't get arrested.

Your little fantasy "man, wouldn't it be great to kill somebody" scenarios get tiresome, boys.

There seem to be a lot of factors adding up to this terrible Girls Gone Wild thing. Joe Francis is of course scum, but our sex-obsessed society and media is continuously getting worse and worse, can we not agree on that? The article blames digital tech like MySpace and YouTube and I think I agree, they are proliferating horrors upon horrors.

You know that Nelly rap song Grillz? Try searching for it on YouTube and see how many people put up their own version of the video.

                  ****ing frightening.

Kids are getting scarier and scarier, more obsessed with "being seen", with fame, or rather, notoriety. "I want people to see me because I'm hot?" Jesus Christ. Bless Snarf because I dunno what I'd do if I had a kid today. Let alone a son, but to have a daughter this day and age?! I wouldn't let her near anybody.

IMO MySpace, YouTube, etc aren't the cause, they're just more of the symptoms. They wouldn't exist (at least not as they are) if the problem wasn't already there.

This is just my own conclusion but I think the problem really started when teens, tweens, and pre-teens became an actual demographic to the marketing industry. During the Leave It to Beaver generation the only commercials meant for kids were toys and even those were indirectly aimed at the parents because they were the consumers. But as baby boomers got more lucrative careers and gave their kids bigger "allowances" and those kids got jobs of their own they actually had buying power of their own.

Advertising is all about giving the consumer the message that "You should have whatever you want. And by the way you want to buy this." What are the main things hormone overloaded adolescents want? Sex, fun, and independence from their parents. So all the media starting selling to that.

I think the fundamental difference between the well behaved kids of yesteryear (and the few we have left now) compared to the insane, irresponsible, unpredictable attention whores. They want the same things (sex, fun, and independence) but the difference is the bad kids feel they're entitled to instant gratification. That they should just reach out and grab what they want and anyone who stands in their way needs to be pushed aside. The good kids are the ones who are taught that they have to EARN the things they want, that there are consequences for wrong choices and rewards for good ones, and that everyone's much happier in the long run when they take the time to do things right rather than rushing in where angels fear to tread.

That was long, and kinda preachy. I apologize.

Ahh, it's no problem to me.

Either way, reading articles like this make me
                        want to cause rightous pain!

Or, just go do something else.
