Did you ever think of just attaching a keyboard to your Laptop and see if that works? Your lappy's probably just getting old, so the keys are breaking.
And if it is a virus, don't you have any anti-virus software?"Those who want peace must prepare for war."

I'm betting it's what Draz is saying, that the laptop's keys are just busting up.
And to be fair, this "virus" could seriously screw with someone in service to the goverment. Can you imagine a secretaries response to, "I would lie to file a equest to spea with the pesident on a vey impotant manne"?Last edited by hitogoroshi; 08-04-2006, 09:33 PM.

Definatley not a virus. Just a busted keyboard.
And Smurt, that was probably a busted mouse. The same thing happened to mine: it kept on dying on me til I replaced it."Those who want peace must prepare for war."

It's not really a theory. People assume viruses are all too common. The only way you can really get a virus is if you download a questionable thing, or go to those dirty sites which are packed with viruses and spyware and hackers."Those who want peace must prepare for war."

Re: I thin my compute vius is speading...
Actually email and normal sites can contain viruses, browsing college networks can also get you some. So sometimes even looking at an infected email can get you a virus thanks to non-text email, and have preview options for files (thanks Microsoft). Especially if you don't have a firewall running on a broadband connection it is relatively easy for someone to install a virus on your computer without you going to any site or downloading something.
But yes many people are two quick to jump to the conclusion that if their computer isn't working correctly it's because of a virus. Which if they think that there are quite a few free virus checkers they can run (TrendNet HouseCall, AVG). But most of the time faulty software (usually registry related for windows) or bad hardware is the cause of random mishaps.

I think by now it's more of a joke. I doubt he really thinks it's a vitus by now.Originally posted by GloomyI think Smurt's got the right idea.
I'm frankly confused by your insistance that it's some sort of virus. You sound like someone's grandmother on
a computer. "Don't go on the interweb, Billy! There's viruses and identity theives! They'll download my gigahertz!"
