    the ghost of starcraft

What the heck happened to Starcraft: Ghost? Last I heard that Blizzard shifted the development to Swingin' Ape Studios and that was like half a year ago.

I don't think that game is ever gonna come out, and if it does it'll probablly just suck.

They stopped it becaue WoW was so much of a success. They concentrated thier efforts into WoW.

Ghost looked amazing, At first it was gonna be GC only, Then all systems, then PS2 and X-Box, Now no systems...

It's a damn shame...I was looking forward to that myself.

I bumped into some dude named Ash (who claimed to work for Blizzard) at the Chicago O'Hare airport a few months ago. When I asked him about Ghost he told me that the game is on "indefinite hold" while Blizzard evaluates the upcoming next-gen consoles.

It'll probably still be released; just on a new console. It's no different than the 5 year hiatus for Diablo 2 or the 7 year hiatus for Warcraft 3. Blizzard is notorious for taking a long ass time in developing their games (and then releasing a patch to fix 30 bugs a week later).

I read somewhere a couple months ago that they cancelled all console versions and they were going to make it only for PC.

Another reason it's been taking so long is they're trying to make it "perfect," something that could take a lifetime. No glitches, no bugs, perfect storyline, excellent gameplay, ect. ect.

Last I checked it was gonna come out in December, another post-ponement from the original July release date.

I am starting to hate Blizzard. Ever since all those guys went to Arena Net, they have been getting on my nerves...

Well hopefully, if they ever do release it, they make it BALANCED. You know, liek the original.

WoW is the worst balanced Blizzard game to date.

                      Blizzard hiring RTS developers

I think everyone would rather have Starcraft 2 than Ghost.

Balancing an MMORPG is a lot more difficult than balancing three races in an RTS.

No no, that was just me.

What makes you say that? I think it would be the other way around, considering altering one unit on a race can make it more balanced against the second, but horribly not so against the third race, and so on.

Well, they're trying to balance 9 different classes in WoW. It just seem balancing a massive game like that, with 9 different classes would be much more difficult than 3 races in an RTS.
