Heath Ledger To Play Joker In 'Batman' Sequel

I don't know the first thing about Heath Ledger, I've never watched any movie with him in it. At least not that I remember. So I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

The title is going to be THE DARK KNIGHT(confirmed) and it will feature Joker and Penguin(unconfirmed). So already they're going the two villain route and they're starting off with Penguin who was the first ruined villain of the previous movie franchise.

So the scuttlebutt long reported by BOF that The Penguin will be in the sequel looks like it could be true (The rumor is that he'll be a British arms dealer/mob boss with designs on Gotham).

On top of that, Ryan Phillipe might be Two-Face. Dissappointing indeed...

On the other hand, Christopher Nolan is no slouch of a director. So far, I think he can pull anything off.

I really liked Batman begins, I like Christopher Nolan and I am looking forward to seeing what happens with whats his face being the Joker.

I'm not saying that they haven't taken liberties with characters in the past, but I'm not feelin' Two-Face (OR Harvey Dent if you want to split hairs about it) as the big, beefy Goodman.
