For a long while I didn't know why they put a bow on Birdo. Wasn't there in the original SMB2.

Yeah, you can't really blame them for Hana and Rain from Fear Effect 2. I mean, they were the game equivalent of the later seasons of Xena with Xena and Gabrielle.

Also, Shadow Hearts: Covenant is one of the gayest games. Period.

If you've seen the Super Mario Bros. Supershow, Birdo's are asexual creatures that slobber when they spit (they can also fly at incredible speeds by flapping their stubby arms).

But yea, Birdo is pretty gay although he... she... IT was one of my favorite bosses in Mario RPG.
