    TMNT Fast Forward

    I'm watching it right now and I am ticked off. They've turned the coolest TMNT cartoon yet into another stupid pseudo-anime. I just want to find the idiots who made this decision and beat them with their own stupidity. The Ninja Turtles are wearing cybernetic gear for cripe's sake. That dark and gritty detailed art style that I loved? Gone! Now everything looks like it was drawn by a fourth grade art class. This is a travesty. I guess the upcoming movie was part of the reason for the change? But if the movie is really going to be closer to the original comics why would they go in the opposite direction with the cartoon? I just dont' like it. Not one bit.

    EDIT: I looked on the TV.com forum for this show and it turns out Fast Forward was demanded by 4kids and Playmates Toys just to sell a new line of crap. Should've known. I'm still ticked off though. It sucks that so often the people with the money could give a crap less about the value of the show/movie.

    That should have been your first indication that nothing good would come of this series.

    Most mainstream US kids shows are just vehicles to sell more plastic crap. That's how it's been for a long time. I think it's an unspoken rule.

      Wow, usually toymakers create gear for their toys ignoring the fact that the characters never had such gear in the first place. But they actually went as far as to give them gear on TV?

      So, is this a completely new series, or is it based off the FoxBox iteration?

        Just started for me.

        They were watching TV and fighting over the remote. Splinter had it and mike pressed it with his foot then they got sent to the future??? o_O


        And the theme song is terrible.

          It's taking the place of what should've been the fifth season of the FoxBox/4Kids cartoon then it'll go back to normal (supposedly). The real season 5 will be released on DVD though.

            Maybe if you didn't watch shows meant for children you wouldn't be so ticked off.

              I don't think any theme for TMNT could compare with the one that plays in the arcade version of Turtles in Time.

                I enjoy a lot of children's shows but there's a difference between good kid's shows and complete crap. Besides there are PLENTY of completely un-kid friendly shows that tick me off too so not watching children's shows really wouldn't help.

                          My understanding from the official website is that this was done due to poor ratings, but it would return to normal next season. I think they could have found a better way to increase ratings though. I liked how it was closer to the original comic books, but unfortunately not close enough in my opinion, they went their own way since the beginning.

                              It's the same series but that was the earlier seasons. After they killed Shredder they changed that line to "We shredded Shredder". Then I think they changed it to something else when Shredder got replaced but all the different versions of the theme song are mixed together in my head. Fast Forward has a new and much stupider theme song. All I can remember of it is the title being said over and over, reminded me of "Go go power rangers".
