    Pirates are Idiots.

    I saw this article about a PC developer talking about customer support for one of their new games and how piracy falls into that.

    While I don't really care about the game, the things the guy says just boggles my mind. I can't believe that there are pirates that have the balls to contact the official customer service. It's especially bad when they make no attempt to hide the fact that they pirated the game. "What's Steam?"

    Seriously, they are just idiots.

          This is why I only pirate old games that no one loses money off of. Go defunkt developers.

              I really hate pirates! Many sleepless days and nights go into making these games. They pour there souls into their work.... then pirates come along to financially rape them. Gets me really steamed!

                Old games are still copywritten. And there is the upcoming Virtual Console.

                  Well, I don't have a credit card and Roms are free so 3 dollars for 12 year old games doesn't really interest me.

                  I was talking about games like X-Com and Fallout, I'm pretty sure the original companies don't lose any money since they don't exist.

I've seen studios close as the result of it, I've seen people lose their homes. I guess I'm more vocal than a lot of people because I've seen the personal side of it, and it's just sad that we have so many people looking for a way of justifying it. Link

                              I don't see how my defense is faulty, I download games from dead companies. The only entity I might be stealing from there is Hasbro, and **** hasbro because they closed down Interplay.
