I would say it will be exactly the same as any recent episodes:
Homer does something stupid + pointless celebrity cameos + travel to some other country for arbitraty reasons = Everything is back to normal in the end.

The movie is coming out on the exact day of my friend's birthday, who happens to be a huge Simpsons fan, so he's determined to like it. For his birthday next year we're all going to see it on opening day.

Frankly though it looks pretty crappy at this point

as for the simpsons movie, **** it. they should just call it "homer the movie". the rest of the family won't be of any importance at all, it'll just be homer-fest like the last few years of the show have been.

I really wish people would shut up about The Simpsons.

I think it's a funny cartoon. Better than most of the worthless crap on television these days. If you don't like it anymore, don't watch it.

Yeah I agree it still is better than most shows on TV, and the new episodes still make me laugh more than say, "The War at Home" or some other crap. But still, there is no question to anyone with a sense of humor that the new episodes are way worse than when they were in their prime. It just catches a bad rap more than other shows because so many people grew up with it back when it was amazing, so the fact that it went downhill gives a lot of people bad nostalgia (is there a such thing?)
