    Opening cutscene...

Ok this makes me feel really dumb because I know it can't be difficult.

I've been working on rpgm3 alot, and have my continent and some towns and dungeons, and my characters and monster parties and a few boss battles set up, etc. I created my opening cut-scene...

....but apparently I'm retarded and can't get the game to actually START with the cutscene. I'm sure I have simply passed over the code, but I'm still at a loss? Would you mind telling me how to make that cutscene the very beginning of the game?

Thanks folks. I'm new here and everyone seems pretty cool so far.

    Welcome to the Pavilion, pal.
Well, you should select that cut-scene as the storyteller that the game starts with. In the game Settings, you must select 2 storytellers: the first will be activated when you start the game, and the second one will be activated before you end the game.
That`s what I think (haven`t finished making my game yet). Hope it`ll help you. Cheers.

Should it play when you start a playtest?

Cool you guys rock. When I get home tonight I'll try to fix it. Just borrowed a friend's PS2 usb keyboard, which will speed things along nicely.

They're like $10 on Amazon nowadays. My friend's is a Logitech one and very nice. Basically looks like one that was scavenged out of a laptop. Using the ps2 controller to do the dialogue is pretty grizzly.

There's also a third storyteller slot that allows you to create a storyteller for a Game Over.

For a keyboard, I just use one of my keyboards from one of my computers. :P Works fine, as long as it's USB.

I've also seen a Logitec controller/keyboard, basically both units combined. I had bad luck with the X button sticking when I bought mine. The other thing I saw, and I forget who makes it, is a third party PS2 controller with a QWERTY keyboard (the little keys, like on the Blackberry) built into the top. I saw one brand new for about $10 but I think it would be too hard to use. I just got mine from www.codejunkies.com
