Will YOU buy a PS3?

I'm just wondering where people on the pav stand on this "issue", personally I'm going to wait and see if the price goes down because $600 is really steep for a whole lotta nothing. I might even wait longer unless I see a game that I'm really interested in buying like FFXIII for example, but the information on it is so little it's not enough to make me want to buy a whole system yet. I'm kinda hoping sony will drop the price a hundred dollars or so right when they release it because I honestly don't think it will launch as good with such a high price. Anyway, discuss.

There should be "Not until MGS4" and "$599 is my wallet's weak point for MASSIVE DAMAGE" options.

I was going to say no, but maybe some time in the far away future, I would be able to afford it. For MGS4 I'm willing to do almost anything.

Wait for the price to sink 1/2 and then I might consider it. Right now it's the biggest $$ rip-off in video game console history.

Can't wait to see the Ace Combat series on that machine, though.

I'm not sure how to answer it. At this point I have no interest in owning a PS3. Like everyone I want to play MGS4 but I wouldn't buy a whole system at any price just for one game. BUT if I can afford to I would like to buy a PS3 at launch to sell on eBay. So No I don't want to own a PS3 but yes I do want to buy one.

No, at least not right away. I'll probably only be able to resist MGS, DMC, and the next God of War for so long.

Also remember, MGS DID come out for the other systems last generation.

Not anytime soon at all. There's plenty of ps2 games out there that I still want to play. Even some old school ones.

If I was to get a newer system, it'd be a new handheld.

I think most people that want a PS3 want MGS4, and Im sure that many are buying it for that reason.

For me, I can wait a long long time. Probably.

I dont know what it will take to make me jump on one.

I assume KH3 will be on PS3.

I waited long enough to get my PS2. I've only had it about for a couple of years. I'll wait until the price drops significantly and the kinks are worked out before I get a PS3.

Kojima's been quoted as saying that MGS4 is only possible on the storage format of Blu Ray. Whateeeeeeeeeevs.
