    Martians!

My friend found this clip on you tube. I am feeling amused and nostalgic!

    Yip yip yip!

I loved these guys when I was a kid. They're still pretty amusing.

This also inspired me to find my favourite Bert and Ernie clip ever. When I was a kid, I used to laugh my ass off every time I saw it.

    *BLAAAAAAM!*

I sadly recall and found that amusing too. Reminiscing is fun....

The great thing about them is any group of kids could imitate them for hours and endlessly amuse each other while at the same time severly annoying every adult around.

Last time I watched Sesame Street seemed like there wasn't anything as good as what I used to watch left on there now.

Gahd, haven't seen them in over 17 years. Those are the best characters in the SS.

I think that was actually on the Electric Company, if I'm not mistaken (and I very well could be).

Numbers Pinball? I'm pretty sure that was on Seseme Street.

IMO, they stopped being good somewhere when they updated the theme song to the "tropical" theme, and even moreso when Elmo became more popular than Big Bird (it seems).

Still think it's retarded how they had to split up Bert and Ernie because people thought that they were teaching kids about gay couples, who the hell cares, i loved Bert and Ernie...

After I got older, I always thought about how much Bert and Ernie had in common with Ren and Stimpy, only minus the violence, and abuse.

Ren and Stimpy are overtly gay in the Spike Episodes.

Ernie was always my favorite. He always has the greatest songs. From the sweet sentimental ones like Live on the Moon to the fun and crazy ones like Do De Rubber Duck. Ernie never failed to entertain.

I remember the moon one. Others I remember are Kirmit's "hop" song, "Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz", and vaguely one that involved a clock that wound up going skrewy by the end of the song.
