both of those are pretty cool, for sketches. you already know you're a talented artist.
the clothes and the detail on the first one are really good, but i hate the anime styled face personally. your art is really professional until the characters have that wide-eyed, pointy nose kawaii face, that loses it for me. of course, that style is your decision, you obviously like it, but it seems like you could do better.
the second one is the one i like more. it's a little more realistic and has some jazz to it. that's more what you're capable of in my opinion.
if you could somehow combine the two...
