Well, it looks like I'm screwed.

My Dex Drive is no longer working properly. Not that it ever did, but with a little luck and patience, I could make it function. But now, it doesn't work at all. And it really sucks too, because I just finished a new game, and I have no way to upload it. Apparently, Max Drives do no good for RM1 games, either from a PS1 or PS2 card. So it looks like I'm screwed, I'll never get to share my new game, unless somebody has a good idea.

I'm really hoping somebody has a good idea. Please?

Unfortunately, the only suggestion I have is to mail it to me and I could put it online for you. Yeah, I doubt that.

There's always the old "mail your memory card" routine.

Yeah, but unfortunately, that's not all that feasible. It's not that I don't trust you guys, I don't trust the post office. It would be horrible if my memory cards got lost. I have the game backed up to my PS2 card, but they don't make PS1 cards anymore, so I can't risk losing them.

On the upside, this isn't a "major" game like Crazy Skating was. It's good and it's fun, but it isn't something that will kill me if I can't share it.

        Still sucks, though.

How big is the game? Like, one card or two, or what?

            It's two cards.

Hmmm, because we could do the mail thing, except I send you a card to put it on. But, I only have 1 good one to spare. Basically, it is a card that was screwing up a few years ago (as in, saves were disappearing). For some reason only God knows, it is working fine now. However, I still don't trust it, so I just let it lay around for now. I only use it to download game saves for RPGM temporarily, but I got a newer card, so yeah, it is just sitting there.

I couldn't care less about it being lost, but I could send it to you. You can mail it back, and hopefully the save will still be on there. But two cards, hmmm.... I have another card, but it is just as glitchy, because it is a third party card. I could send both and you just copy the saves onto those, and send them back. If they are lost or the games deleted on them, then whatever. Both were bought used for $2 a piece anyway.

It's true that this is a "have nothing, have nothing to lose" situation, I doubt I could put it back together properly.

It's never worked well, it was only a matter of time before it died completely. I guess that time has finally come.

Just consider my offer. I don't use them, and I think the saves may get here in one piece.

you can still get them at ebay for 10 dollars or less.

as for getting it back together, it's obscenely simple. it's just a circuit board, and a memory card connector. I've opened mine up many times.
