    Amazing screw-on head

    http://www.scifi.com/amazingscrewonhead/

    Check it, pilot episode. Opinions?
"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."

Funny and they reproduced Mignola's style very well. I hope this gets picked up for a full season.

"Pardon me if I say 'poppycock'!"
          "Then say it."
          "Poppycock."

          By gum, it was good.

I would've liked it if the 4 Horrible Old Ladies and a Monkey were a different faction that Emperor Zombie's. But it was cool they were cannibals.

              Oh well.

I thought it was cool. Hopefully it actually stays on the air, and sci fi doesn't screw with the time slot like it does with its other shows.

I hate comedies that try to be funny a little to hard. Although instead of spraying the humor they sprinkle it on, which is good.

I had a hard time understanding what they were saying/getting into the whole thing.

                        A really awesome show.

I was just about to post this here but I'm glad there are people on this site with my same tastes.

It's about a disembodied head who has the power to screw himself on his robotic bodies. Him and his sidekick Mr. Groin and Mr. Dog are chasing after their rival Emperor Zombie who uncovers the secret of a radish that contains a mini-universe which holds a Lovecraftian Elder God with a sarcastic wit.

Nothing hard to understand about that, right?

It's based on Mike Mignola's one-shot comic book of the same name. I love Mignola and his style so I approve of this show. The last great animated show with an original style I've seen was Aeon Flux... and that was 10 years ago.

one shot? meaning he only did one comic, or graphic novel?

Yea. One-shot is a term used in the comic industry to mean a comic that's not part of an on-going story or as a buzzword to test pilot a new style or idea. You can order the issue off of the Dark Horse website for $3. It's 32-pages, color.

The fact that zombie hardly moves at all when hes saying all kinds of funny crap, makes it even funnier for some reason.
