I'll have a 360 in a few months (I hope) but Chrome Hounds will be a rental first. From Software has this little problem where every Mecha game they make without "Armored Core" in the title is complete and utter garbage.

I played it earlier, and i think it is really good. Its much more of a slow paced tactical mech game though. And dont buy it if you are going to play offline only, the meat and potatoes of the game is definitely the online, clan based action in persistent multiplayer worlds. Very cool!

I tried the Prey demo. Another FPS from the Cinematic School of Half-Life, it seemed like I played everything there was worth to play in the demo. It was fun if a bit dizzying but I dunno if I'd plunk down for it full price.

The Cherokee Indian angle's unique though.

Oh, and I'm not a 360 person. Not yet anyway. I just tried my friend's BRAND SPANKIN' NEW ONE. He got Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Oblivion. Also tried the Lost Planet demo. THAT kicked ass. Multiplayer's gonna be awesome on that.

Yeah, the Lost Planet demo was awesome.

Everyone who has a 360 needs to try that demo, atleast once! I'm sure i'll be getting that game on release day.

I seriously need to get online.

I might pick it up later down the road, but I am low on money, and saving up for Rule of Rose and Devil Summoner.

OK, here's a question. Tim Rogers over at Insert Credit is pretty insane. We know that. But here's his 360 advice on the main page right now:

Bullet Witch will be released on July 27th -- just two weeks from tomorrow -- for the Xbox 360, at the stately price of 7,300 yen. Pre-order it through Play-Asia here, if you're one of those lucky (smart) people who has a Japanese Xbox 360 (which can play the Asian versions of games, also available at Play-Asia, which all have English dubs if your 360 is set to English as the default language, and are about $20 cheaper than their American counterparts)!!
So I checked the prices at Play-asia and the Japanese versions of games (save for Bullet Witch) ARE all $40. What the HELL? Is that awesome? Or is there a terrible catch? Will I still be able to use Live if I use a Japanese 360? Will I be able to play Japanese Gears of War and Halo 3??

Seems like an interesting thing to do but I can't help but feel I'd get screwed somehow. Oh.

                  Right.

                  LANGUAGE BARRIER.

                  I dunno. Whucha all feel?

Re: Hey, 360 people, you getting Chromehounds?

Games get more expensive as they work their way to Canada. :/

                    Japan$40 > US $50 > Canada $60

The exchange rate should only add on another $5 or so dollars, but they usually round it up to an even 10.

the games are cheaper in japan only because the system is doing poorly there. If it were doing as well there as it is here, then there woudlnt be an issue

                        I REALY wanna play it.

I watched a bunch of gameplay videos on gametrailers, and it looks pretty damn cool. I just need to get a 360. That wont be for a couple of months though.

Damn, i am loving this game! I just spent 3 hours playing it, and i just finished the first campaign for the soldier RT (role type).

There are 6 role types, Soldier, Sniper, Defender, Scout, Heavy Gunner, Tactics Commander. I cant wait to really get into the meat of the Neroimus War, which is the online persistent campaign. Apparently one of the campaigns won either yesterday or today, and a new one has started.

...I'm lovin it! (sorry, couldnt resist)
