    Funk's back from the West

But it will take some time to get the pictures ready. I have over 850 to sift through and they are not even at my house. I need to have a CD made from the files on a laptop not currently at my locale.

Anyways, the trip was cool. I'm sunburnt, badly, from a day at Noah's Ark (America's largest waterpark) in Wisconsin. Since going to the Redwoods, I went part way up Mount Rainier in Washington. It was great seeing a familiar sight in snow at the very end of June. After that, we trekked to Yellowstone. Old Faithful peed on me, as I already stated. A bison nearly rammed into the side of our RV, and I'll have a video of that when I get the files. I loved Yellowstone and it's variety of landscapes. I suggest to anyone that has never been there to go at sometime. After that, we went to Devil's Tower, as featured in that one alien movie where the aliens aren't mean. After that: Deadwood and the graves of Will Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. Man, the Old West kicked ass. After that we saw Mount Rushmore, which looked exactly as it does in the pictures, and was featured in that one movie where the dude climbed on a nose. Then, the waterpark and home. And I hugged my dog. The end.

Yeah, Deadwood is a great show. Oh wait, you meant the real thing?

Seriously though, glad you had fun.

I knew that. It was a joke. But the second part wasn't.

I meant the real thing, but now I feel compelled to rent the show. Is it really that good?

We play drinking games with Deadwood cards.

No one watches the show, though. I don't know why we have them.

                    Welcome back, honey.

I've been watching Seasons 1&2 on DVD just recently, and yes, it's a great show. It ties in real dates and history, and (although sometimes skewed), I like the little touches they put in to it. Not to mention every last one of the character are acted out so well and feel so right. Definately rent it.

I am coming for all of you!

Seasons one and two are good, not great. They kind of have a thing going where you feel like it's gunna get amazing. Then BAM, season three delivers, picks up the pace and starts kicking ass. Adding Brian Cox to the cast didn't hurt much either.

Maybe you should visit rome, then I can convince you to check out ROME, probably the best thing on tv for a long time.

It's like the odd couple, if the odd couple was a kickass drama about two roman soliders and the politics that they unintentionaly get involved in, and had sudden violence and random sex.

It's really not much like the odd couple.

I liked Deadwood but I missed a few episodes and I don't want to put up the hundred bucks it would take to buy Seasons 1 and 2. It can have a tendancy to drag along but it has some of the best dialouge I've ever seen. It's like western Shakesphere but with liberal usage of ****.
