I had a really crazy dream last night. So much of it is fuzzy that I cant remember all of it, but.. like, I had to get to the top of some massive tower-of-babel-ish apartment complex, in some kaballic symbolism of transcending myself. Along the way, someone told me I was going to have to challenge people to fights in order to ascend further, though I don't actually remember ever fighting anyone. There were others of us, too, but I don't remember them. This was in the middle of a city. It looked kinda like Price Hill in cincinnati.
Somewhere in all of that, I found Thor, and had this long-as-hell (even in dream time) conversation with him. This is the only time i've ever had an in depth conversation with someone in a dream, I think, much less a mythological God. It was really, really odd. Thor was an aging and somewhat unshaven man in a white business suit and black-rimmed glasses. I didn't see whether or not he was in possession of Mjolnir.
We talked about a lot of things. He told me that I was eventually going to have to fight him, and that he had lots of regenerative spells he could use, so it wasn't going to be easy. He told me what spells I needed to learn, though, and told me where I could find them and draw them (this dream somehow had a very FF8 magic system.) He also looked in a very large book he had, and I think it had everyones name in it - and their personality characteristics next to their name. He told me that I stood a very good chance of making it to the top of the complex. We talked about other things - music, the pronunciation of some nordic words I was unsure how to pronounce in real life, and even a bit of talking about Odin (I had seen a homeless bearded man with one eye earlier in the dream, and thought that mayhaps it was Odin), and Thor was like.. "so why did you come to me for help instead of my father?" I responded with something to the effect that Odin's responses are, historically, a lot more disguised and harder to follow. To which Thor responded "yeah, he probably would have told you to 'wear green things'."
What the hell is up with this?
