Had a crazy dream last night.

I had a really crazy dream last night. So much of it is fuzzy that I cant remember all of it, but.. like, I had to get to the top of some massive tower-of-babel-ish apartment complex, in some kaballic symbolism of transcending myself. Along the way, someone told me I was going to have to challenge people to fights in order to ascend further, though I don't actually remember ever fighting anyone. There were others of us, too, but I don't remember them. This was in the middle of a city. It looked kinda like Price Hill in cincinnati.

Somewhere in all of that, I found Thor, and had this long-as-hell (even in dream time) conversation with him. This is the only time i've ever had an in depth conversation with someone in a dream, I think, much less a mythological God. It was really, really odd. Thor was an aging and somewhat unshaven man in a white business suit and black-rimmed glasses. I didn't see whether or not he was in possession of Mjolnir.

We talked about a lot of things. He told me that I was eventually going to have to fight him, and that he had lots of regenerative spells he could use, so it wasn't going to be easy. He told me what spells I needed to learn, though, and told me where I could find them and draw them (this dream somehow had a very FF8 magic system.) He also looked in a very large book he had, and I think it had everyones name in it - and their personality characteristics next to their name. He told me that I stood a very good chance of making it to the top of the complex. We talked about other things - music, the pronunciation of some nordic words I was unsure how to pronounce in real life, and even a bit of talking about Odin (I had seen a homeless bearded man with one eye earlier in the dream, and thought that mayhaps it was Odin), and Thor was like.. "so why did you come to me for help instead of my father?" I responded with something to the effect that Odin's responses are, historically, a lot more disguised and harder to follow. To which Thor responded "yeah, he probably would have told you to 'wear green things'."

What the hell is up with this?

the whole concept of a vision quest is somewhat alien to nordic cosmology, but... basicly, yeah, I think so.

Yeah, check the dictonary or something. If you learned something from a dream you didn't know in life....that'd be pretty cool.

Crazy dreams are awesome, especially the strange things people in them say.

One of my favorite crazy dream quotes: "Fish is infinite."

            Heh.

Edit: Oh yeah, I usually use dream moods to analyze my dreams. You might find interesting information in the dream dictionary section.

I dreamed last night that I for some reason knew everything. Past, present, future about every person in the world. Apparently everybody knew about it too and I'd go around casually giving out advise like Miss Cleo except for free and not on the phone. And I didn't claim to be from "the islands."

Before that there was a part of the dream about a girl whose whole family wanted to kill her and she was on the run. I didn't really understand that part.

Oh my god I just had the scariest dream ever
Me and some other people who I don' tknow who went to France and it turned out to be the scariest place in the world.
At first it seemed pretty great. It was night time and we were watching these fireworks go off and the effiel tower was all lit up and it was cute whenever the fireworks would start the tower would light up and say "L'lights on!" and we met some french people and they were allright

But then the next morning we went to some place that built a bunch of electronic stuff and checked out their factory and then we were sitting in this van outside of the tower watching things and I turn around and out of the corner of my eye I see this old lady falling from the tower she lands but then just gets back up and a bunch of people walk her off but then we see this other lady there and I'm like "oh my god she's not" and then she falls and makes this horrible SPLAT noise when she hits the ground we get freaked out and take off onto some highway

Where everyone is so ****ed up, the guy in front of us was driving backwards and this car we saw next to us had a ****ing zombie trapped in the back underneath the seats, struggling to get out and stuff eventually france becomes some swampy shithole and the car breaks down and the guy we were with who I don't know who it was leads us through this tunnel that's full of green murky water and he's like "Don't step in it, it will hurt you and I remember getting across the water and that was when I just woke up now.

I think Nazi occult magic did it, that's what they blame everythign else on.

I had a dream I was visiting my grandparents, and they were living in a huge converted barn. And one evening I went walking up in the hills around their place, and on my way back, I saw a small orb of light in the sky, all moving around fast... and I get the distinct feeling it's an alien ship that's looking at me. So I break out into a run and get back to the house, and the place becomes surrounded by animals that the aliens have taken control of, and then the dream stopped.

Re: Had a crazy dream last night.

I once had a dream where I was attacked by two (possibly zombified) sumo wrestlers who came out of the ground. But, that's nothing compared to a recurring dream I had wherein there were these two kids at my grandparent's house. Then one ate some pastry and his tongue grew very large. In fact, it rolled across the house and out the window. Really, I don't know why I thought it was scary at the time, but I did. And, it only occurred when I fell asleep facing the nearest wall for some reason. I feared walls for a while after that.

Gasp! DYRE, you have poltergeists! Get out of the house QUICKLY!!!

As for me, I've been having a bit of a dream slump. Which is a bummer because alot of my best ideas come from them. I'm probably the only person who looks forward to nightmares. They give me some creative ideas for my survival horror game, Sin.

Nightmares are fun, too. I had one where I was chased by a slimey zombie cactus (And an unrelated electric dog-like thing) that could kill by simply touching. However, those aren't so scary.

                        EDIT: 300th post!

I have nightmares about trains. I have tornado dreams also, but they're more "whatever" than "OMG I'M GONNA DIE". And then there's the "spider infestation" dreams, which are on par with the train dreams. I haven't had any of those dreams for a while.
