    Bittorrent question

I just recently started using BitTorrent. It's slightly less confusing than I though it'd be.

Anyways, I downloaded a torrent that's 7 episodes of a TV show but episodes 4 and 5 are stuck at 99.7%. So I can watch the others but not those two. Is there anything I can do? I've tried finding those two episodes elsewhere but I haven't been able to.

Depends on what mod dealie youve downloaded for Bittorrent.

Bittorrent by itself isnt that great, but you can download different things for it. Like I use Bittornado. Its lets you do all kinds of stuff with a torrent. In bittornado, to watch stuff thats finished downloading, all I have to do is go to the details setting, and set the stuff I dont want to "Never Download", and it finshes sticking all the bits together to form single files.

But if they are that close to finishing downloading, just leave it running. One of the leechers, or seeds will have the rest of the file you need.

      Welcome to Torrentville my friend.

I never realized how much the cosmos hates me until I started using torrents.
sig removed due to banned words being in playlist.

I could list a buch of sites for torrents but I think that's not allowed here.

I personally use BitComet, and it is better to find a file that has more seeders.

I use Azureus and BitComet alternating.

Whenever a torrent doesn't work on one, I try the other and so forth.

BitComet, however IMHO, is a bit faster than Azureus.

The thing is it's been like that for about 3 days now and I've had it running almost 24 hours. There've been plenty of seeders with 100% of the torrent but it's made no effort to get those last couple pieces.

Stop and restart the torrents. Either that or try to play the files. Most video players will run files that are less than 100% (Hell, I find that I just watched a file that was only at 97% or 99% all the time. You'll miss a little bit, generally only a few seconds, and the bigger the file is the less you'll be missing).

If your media player doesn't let you, try Media Player Classic, which is my favorite media player, and lets me play incomplete files all the time.

Also: are you sure that someone didn't screw up the packing of the file and include the thumbnail thingy with it? It's some sort of XP thing. I know that a lot of sites mention that files may not reach 100% because of those stupid things.
