Hey... I made my first game, and theres a sequal... The problem is the sequals allot better then the first... But wouldn't make alot of sense without playing the first. I am trying to make the sequal make more sense if you played the first or not... But it would be easier if i could submit 2 games... But i don't think thats allowed.

I would like to submit A Series Aside, made on RPG Maker 3, for consideration in the Pavilion's "summer" contest. Thanks.

Well, there's still eleven days left...maybe everyone is putting the final polish on their games. At least I have a decent chance of winning now....:)

If I get episode I of A Remedy finished in time I'll put it up. Otherwise the demo is just way to short to put up in any kind of contest.

I couldn't have come close to finishing JH3D in time for this even had I had worked on it near full-time.

Everyone hated my theme, so i just stopped making it.

What theme was that?

And Valk, is your difficulty in your job search going to affect the contest? Just wanting to know, since Vonwert and others are now part of the site.

This One (http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7760&highlight=card)

Everyone I guess didn't like it, so I scrapped it. Tryed making a Phoenix Wright game, but I can't make good humor.

Basically I need RPGM2 that way I can make a game all about gameplay instead of story.

If you're making a game just so other people will like it, you're making a game for the wrong reasons. Did you want to make that game? You should've made it, then.

I've never taken other people's feelings into consideration when making a game. the intentionally bad games I've released while working on Legend of Pants were a ton of fun to make, I knew they were crap from the outset, people have attacked me because of them saying I'm not a serious RPG Maker user, and saying thats all I'm capable of. it doesnt bother me one bit. I had fun making them, and thats all that matters to me.

A contest is based off other people's opinions though.

I did want to make the game, but if nobody plays it/wants to play it, there is no reason to make it. Making games for other people to enjoy is what I try to do.

if you want to make it, do it anyways. even if you don't finish it in time for the contest. you'll regret it in the long run if you never make it.

I already deleted the files. It took me 24 hours to make the card selection, but meh. If people wern't going to play it, it wouldn't of mattered how long I took. I tried to make somthing interesting but nobody liked the idea.

Actually I found these 2 (http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/17/221194/21178_7375_RPG_MAKER_.max) files (http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/17/221194/21178_378_RPG_MAKER_.max) on my Max Drive but my PS2 isn't going to be hooked up for awhile, could somone see if these are the correct ones, please?

I'll submit SS World (RPGM2). I'm pretty sure I released it after this contest started so it should be a valid entry. If not, then disregard this.

Even if people didn't like the idea, that doesn't mean they won't play it if it's good. I know at least one person who doesn't like scavenger hunts, yet enjoyed Jester's Hunt. (But I wish I didn't have to use self-promotion to try to make a point.)

Thats me, right? I hate scavenger hunt games, but liked jester's hunt.

I'll enter my Shadow of Torayu demo for RPGM3. No time to make it any better then it was for the mag contest, but hey, it won the mag contest.

Valk: Duder and the Mage for RPGM3...

And, please, don't consider this the last contest. I just got into RPGM3 (am already thinking of buying #2), and just got into this community. It was this contest that pushed me to make a game so quickly. Duder and the Mage shows that it was made with haste, though. And now I'm going to take my time and make a game worthy of the name atreides. Thanks for your time.

Would Omegablade Saga for RPGM1 qualify, since it was on the site before the contest was announced, but after the deadline for "Anything Goes"?

Unless I pull a miracle out of my ass (Make enough of Feorest of Deceit to feel good about entering it in the contest. Damn you Guild Wars!) it'll probably be my entry, with an added wordpad file with the means to get the better ending, so you can get it the first time through.

Valkysas

sure.

I think if we ever have another contest, it should be for Fighter Maker or somthing else other than RPGM. (I know it's the RPGM Pavilion, but we need the Designer Series forum to have more than one topic)

I think it would be cool. Just give 2 months or somthing like that for people.

Also, Valk, if the Pavilion didn't want to have another official contest there's nothing stopping us from using this forum to set one up ourselves, right?

Red Dragon

Then it would be unofficial.:p
