    details, details

Koji and I are being married on July 22nd. I'm still working on some of the small stuff and I wanted to ask your opinion.

    1) If you were a groomsman (and some of you probably have been), do you mind wearing a flower as your bouttonnier? I was thinking of just some pretty foliage instead of the standard roses but I still like roses.

    2) I don't want to wear a lot of makeup but I'd like to look pretty. What do you, as guys, think of makeup? Do you like for girls to wear it or do we wear too much? I can't decide whether I should try to look more fancy or just be natural.

    I welcome your thoughts.

I wouldn't know anything about the first question, because formal attire is very unbecoming of me. But as for the second question(and this is strictly personal preference), I like the natural look. There are a few rare occasions where I think make-up is good, and that's usually behind closed doors... but, yeah. Natural all the way for me.

But then again you're not marrying me.

I have to agree with Riot, i like the natural look, however, not everyone can pull off the natural look

I've been a groomsman once and we wore some lame fake flower as a bouttoneir. It was tacky because the flowers were fake but a real flower in your lapel (as it were) is classy, especially when it goes with the whole decor.

And I think you'll find most guys prefer the natural look. If you do wear makeup it should be minimal, just to blend any blemishes or even out your complexion, whatever. But don't cake your face with foundation and do some raccoon eye shadow. That only looks good in porn, and even then not really. LOL

Meh, make-up isn't just you don't use it at all or you vamp yourself out. There's thousands of different possibilities, as I'm sure you know. Personally I'm a fan of having something on the eyes, for the formal occassion I'd say just eye liner and of course wearing some to make your face look clean and uniform.

But I'm a straight male, so I can't say there's much hope in my fashion sense.

            Light makeup is nice.

I dislike make-up, nail polish and piercings. Figures that my girlfriend won't begin her day without eye-liner and blush ( or whatever it is ) and just got her belly button pierced.
