Same thing basically, only instead of using a max drive you use a dex drive which you plug into your computer's serial port and plug your memory card (PS1 only) into the dex drive and load the game files onto the memory card.

Not for a PS1 game, no.

No, since PS1 mem cards only work with dex drive.

Whats the PS2 software disc? Do you need to buy it? My Max Drive came with the Action Replay for the PS2.

You don't need the disk to download RPGM games, but it can do some pretty sweet stuffs regardless.

And I believe any flash drives works with AR Max Evo.
