Thanks, I was kind of thinking people were going to tell me it sucked. No matter how hard I tried to change the shadowing or the resolution it still always brought out the darker colors more when I scanned it. It's the same size of a standard piece of line paper width wise and a little bit longer height wise.
The bugs make me smile. I really like the ant and the flea, but the dung beetle is also good.
The painting is pretty interesting. If you have a digital camera, you might try a few shots with a couple of different light sources, see if that helps pick up the colors better.
wow i totally want to draw when i saw that golem!!!!!!!!! it makes me invision it rising out of the ground when someone throws a switch in the fireplace by mistake!
owl would you be offended if i drew a redesign of it? full credits to your design of course.
I had a reference picture on hand when I drew it, and it took twice as long to shade as drawing it. So about 1/3 of the time I was creating it. It was important not to shade it like it seemed in the picture because I wanted it to have some depth instead of something that appeared smudged together.
