View Full Version : Who wants to be my buddy?

Funk

None of that "if you look the other way, I won't tell" nancy bullcrap. I just want a few buds to hang around with after work. Who's with me?

See you at the mall, man.

Funk
02-03-2005, 11:01 PM
Pfft, you're paying. Mall prices suck.

Alex
02-03-2005, 11:02 PM
Nowhere near Michigan. Too bad.

Funk
02-03-2005, 11:06 PM
Maybe Oregon will change its name to "West Michigan" so we can be closer to each other.

Alex
02-03-2005, 11:09 PM
Too romantic.

Funk
02-03-2005, 11:11 PM
Yeah, and it wouldn't seem natural.

I would totally be your buddy, but I live in Southern Canada... not too close to Michigan.

One time, like, 2 years ago me and "m00t teh funk" (remember him?) were gonna come down to Michigan in the summer and try to find you and Valk. Never panned out though.

Southern Canada touches Northern Michigan.

There are people in Oregon?

Funk
02-03-2005, 11:39 PM
I was always under the assumption that there were no people in Wyoming.

Redneck 2000

Southern Canada touches Northern Michigan.

Yeah well, I touch your mom and we dont consider each other close.

But in all seriousness, we would have to go through border patrol coming in and out every time. It's only like a 2 hour drive to the border and then however long it would take to get to your part of michigan, but it would be a pain to go through customs every time. You know?

Funk
02-03-2005, 11:47 PM
Is border patrol THAT bad now? It's never taken me more than a few minutes to go from Michigan to Canada. Most of the time it's just a brief glance into my vehicle to make sure I have no opened alcohol containers and I'm on my way. This was before 9-11, though: I'm not sure if things have changed since then.

I dunno, Funk... I'm kind of afraid you'd make us go geocaching or something.

Redneck 2000
02-03-2005, 11:51 PM
Well, I wouldn't know either, I haven't made the trip since 9-11. However from what I've heard it's gotten much worse.

You're just afraid that you might actually like it!

Smurtle, have you by any chance ever seen a purple Datsun 1200 sedan with a really LOUD sound system driving around Portland?

That is an electric car built by non other than John Wayland, who has broken world records in drag racing with electric vehicles.

Alex

Yeah!

Wait... No.

I would totally hang out with Funk. We would wear our jackets and walk to his car. And as he started to get in I would hit him with a snowball and he'd give me that "Hey now" look and I would just laugh.

And then we would drive to Canada to drink cheap Canadian beer. And all along the trip we would sing to the radio and do that car dance where you kind of bounce to the right and the left. And I would point at something and Funk would look, but nothing would there so I would flick his nose up and he would give me a fake punch and then we would laugh.

It would be freaken great.

Well I go across the border several times every year and we haven't had to much hastle. But of course the younger 20's or less u are the less likely you'll get across. Just make sure you have birth certificates and all that stuff and no alcohol, drugs, fireworks, and if going south no fruit like oranges. :)

You should come to Montana. But I don't rule HELLena yet.

As for security, all I know is that save but a couple of basic vehicle searches they weren't checking my ID much at all to get on the local air force base after 9/11.

OK, here's what I'm going to do:

I'm going to clone myself fifty times, and spread myself across the nation. Oh, hell, I'll clone myself fifty-eight times so I can take Canada by storm, as well.

I'm really quite scared at the prospect of actually meeting anyone in person that I have met on an internet message board. I mean, I would totally jump at the chance to hang out with a lot of people from here, but I'd still be scared that you would like... drug me and rape me for all eternity. :b

Here's a list! In no particular order, but that of chaos!

gray
Sejon
Rena & Gus (considered together since they're already REAL LIFE friends) (fun fact: Gus is the only person who's actually had a conversation with one of my real life friends)
Aznable (if only he posted more often)
Funk
Ryu
Mora
Starba

That is all. Those are people I definitely would like to meet someday.

I think it would be cool if we could do a Meet-the-Pavilion party. We could smoke stogies and drink bourbon, scotch, and beer! :extreme

Not that it would likely happen.

The scary thing is that I am planning an RPG Maker community gathering in a few years. got the idea from enterbrain's "tukucon" which is an RPG Maker convention in japan.
