Very nice. Well thought out, and I love your character designs.

I would hope very much that you would try your hand into creating it in any of the rpgmakers. Most likely, I would suggest XP since it will allow you to use your art.

The problem I have found with making it in the RPGMakers is that I get very impatient with all the small details, and I tend to like to create as a whole, and leave all the little details to others. That's why I'm thinking of making it into a comic. :P I'm not too sure. I actually do have more updated images of the characters, I just have to get off my lazy butt and upload them.

Those look awesome, and I agree with Vonwert. None of the other makers will live up to your artwork. If you do decide to develop this into a game, then that's probably your best bet.

A curious concept. And very good art.

              My only quip:

Science fiend that I am, I must say that anything that doesn't reflect light is pitch black. I might have misunderstood you, though.

I think I can imagine the effect you're trying to describe... but I'm having some difficulty. I'm not sure the human eye was ever intended to comprehend something like that. That does, of course, seem to be the intent here.

...I have nothing meaningful to say, in short.

I like to know EVERYBODY. =3

But I also have to have at least one male and one female figure to get behind and root for. The male to be a hero figure and the female to fall in love with. =3=3=3

Holy Crap about the bump! Thanks Obright. There are no men at the moment, just because I haven't created them quite yet....

Although I have created a young Prince named Edmund (who's name I can't get out of my head.) but it is unsure of who he is going to end up with. He is a human...

I have new art, would you guys like me to upload?

                      Silhouette

World/Plot Concept : The world was created by twin gods who decided that they wanted a new toy to play with. The primary race on this world was called “humans.” They were curious little ape-like things that were very primitive in their civilization, and somehow lacked the ability to evolve past that state. They were nomadic and stayed within small-knit groups, making no significant advances. The older twin decided the game was no fun if there wasn’t any conflict, so he introduced the more devious of human nature-violence and chaos. Quickly the elder god grew bored as the humans began to tear themselves apart and left the toy to his younger sibling. As the younger god was kinder, he gave the humans the evolution and curiosity. Although the younger god grew older and bored with his toy, he still loved his creations enough to want to protect them. From their linage, he created two new races—the Magus and the Silhouettes. Then, he left to pursue more adult interests.

The world thrived on its own. Though remaining in the shadows, the Magus and the Silhouettes watched and protected the humans as was their charge. After the time of the God’s Leaving, a thousand years passed as the humans grew in number, slowly overcoming their fears and trespassing onto Silhouette lands. Few Silhouettes welcomed this intrusion, but one known as Cascade welcomed it as a new dawning. She greeted the humans, but was greeted with suspicion and terror. She was taken captive and brutalized and tortured, but was saved by the Magus. Because of this incident, the seeds of war slowly began to brew, and the Magus disappeared from the world entirely.

Cascade healed, but did not fault the humans for what they did, for she understood it was in their nature to fear what they do not understand. Her opposer, who spoke of war with the humans, was a younger Silhouette named Rhythm. Cascade silenced her easily, speaking of patience and a time when humans lost their fear and the roads to peace would be paved. Nearly 275 years later, one of the youngest Silhouettes, Edge, was stolen away and returned pregnant. There was no explanation for who stole her away or how she became pregnant, but the child was denied by her mother and renamed “Edgechild.” Cascade took Edgechild as her charge. Two years later, Cascade took in another foundling, a human girl she named “Orb.” She raised them as her own daughters.

It would take 250 years for acceptance to come for the Silhouettes. The first trading routes opened to a small kingdom that traded wisdom of the Silhouettes for goods and technology. 50 years after the path opened, the tentative alliance between Silhouettes and humans was growing stronger. Then there was a war, in which the young prince of the first kingdom (Prince Edmund) requested aid from the Silhouettes. Cascaded offered herself as his counsel, and set off with her two charges Orb and Edgechild as her bodyguards.

                      The Races :

~Humans ~ Bipedal creatures most common to the creatures called "Apes." A very resilient and curious race, with a deep fear of things they do not know or understand. Unlike the humans of Earth, they are vastly out populated on the planet by dragons/insects/and the like. Currently in a medieval set of technological advancement, few adventurers and many civilizations live in an odd state of balance between fighting the outside world and living in peace with it. Although the existence of Silhouettes is known, they are not quite yet accepted, and are met mostly with suspicion.

~Silhouettes~ considered to be created from the Gods shadows, Silhouettes are singularly female. They are tall, lithe, and regal. Their pigmentation changes with age: younger having more earthy tones and less variation; older having pastels and brighter, some even with shifting pigmentation to augment moods. The oddest attribute of their bodies is that it does not reflect light and shadow as a normal humans. Instead, it conceals most features, leaving the only discernable feature their unnaturally large eyes. Their eye colors vary with only solid pigmentation, and they are deep and wise. They commonly wear dresses, the difficulty of their weave a status symbol. The eldest have rose-hued wings that signify them as an Elder, but do not give them the ability to fly. Silhouettes are accomplished magic users, and the few that do take up arms became proficient wizards. Their naming system is based upon a single descriptive words and nouns. (i.e. Rhythm, Edge, Cascade, Melody, Sky, ect.) Silhouettes are basically humans, with the violent part of their nature (towards humans) genetically suppressed.

~Magus~ primarily male, they are known mostly by the color of their hair, which signifies their name and rank. (i.e. Silver-Haired Magus is a high-level general) They are mostly brute force and muscle, though there is a sect that is more into dexterity and sword play. More information will be available as race is explored. (i.e. I haven't figured out what to do with them yet.)

                      -Characters-

                      Orb
Orb is a young woman that Cascade took on as a charge when she was very young. She is fairly head-strong and somewhat innocent, and has a very open view to the larger world. She looks upon Cascade as her mother, and Edgechild as her sister. Although she has had some limited experience with humans who have visited the Silhouette compound, she remains very curious about them. She was born with several black gems embedded in her body, which lead to her mother's exile and eventual death. Orb was named by Cascade for her innate ability to summon two black orbs. These orbs can transform into two dragons named Terah and Equinox. Orb also can harness Lightning magic, although it is limited due to her focus on martial fighting. She is a light, front-line fighters with a clawed weapon called the "Grinning Scythe."
                      Images -

                      Edgechild

Edgechild is the unwanted bastard child of Edge. She is a very withdrawn and shy girl, who focused on healing. She has dark pigmentation, and silver eyes lined with black, and silver hair. Unlike her mother, she does not have human features, but more elven, such as her pointed ears. She was denied by her birth mother and taken in by Cascade. She is looked upon by many Silhouettes as an abomination, which has caused her to be very self-conscious. She took up the crossbow as a back line fighter because of her fear of confrontation. She is very intelligent and sweet, but somehow carries a dark side in her. Later in the game, she succumbs to this dark side and becomes the "Fallen."
                      Images-

                      Cascade

Cascade is one of the Elders. She is a very kind and powerful woman, and very wise. She was attacked by humans during the first meeting, and as a result *** SPOILERS ***
became pregnant with the first Silhouette child. Zoe.
                      *** END SPOILERS ***
Another result of the torture was that she became lame in one leg, and her wings are now broken and mostly atrophied. She felt passion and became very protective over Edgechild and Orb because of above spoiler. She is a very accomplished magic-user, and favors three weapons- The Cane, The Wand, and the Staff.
                      Images-

                      Edge

Edge is the youngest of the Silhouettes. At first she was very kind and shy, but after her kidnapping, she became very confrontational and suspicious. She denied Edgechild as her daughter because she could not handle seeing the product of her torment. She would have had Edgechild destroyed had it not been for Cascade and for her own nature. Edgechild's pigmentation (once a dun-color) dropped to black once she was returned from her kidnapping. She has very little memory of who took her and what happened, but she remains very quite and in immense solitude.
                      Images-

                      Rhythm

Rhythm is one of the few Silhouettes that seem to have a darker side. She was the first to suggest war against the humans, but even her own nature would not allow her to resort to such violence. She was turned down by Cascade, and did not forgive her Elder even after the path was opened to humans. She soon took to solitude and became a hermit. *** SPOILERS ***
In that time, she plotted with the Magus to find a way to bypass the violent suppressor in their genetic code. She had a daughter Stiletto with the Silver-haired Magus. Through this, she found a way to bypass Silhouette/Magus nature and create a weapon for human slaughter.
                      *** END SPOILERS ***

Currently resides back in the Silhouette compound.
                      Images-

                      Stiletto

Stiletto is a very mysterious figure. She is playful, sly, and manipulative. She is very well-versed in dark magic, and is deadly on the battlefield. She tends to be drawn towards the color purple. She appears fairly often as a jester-both helping and hindering the heroes on the plot. She joins almost unwanted, and flirts mercilessly with Prince Edmond. She likes to cause mischief and chaos in almost a malicious way, but is not a villain. She is more of an anti-hero. *** SPOILERS ***
                      She is Edgechild's half-sister.
                      *** END SPOILERS ***

                      Images-

                      "Dark Silhouette" Zoe

Zoe is a very unknown individual. She was found by Cascade, Orb, and Edgechild on their trek to the first kingdom, naked and terrified. She shows no real understanding for language, and has aspects of Magus, Silhouette, and human. Her hands are unnaturally large, and tipped in razor-sharp talons. Cascade took her on as a third charge for personal reasons, though she did not discover Zoe's true nature until their first large battle. Zoe is a killer, but with the mind of a four-year-old. Her comprehension is very suppressed, and she rarely speaks simply because she never learned the words. She becomes very attached to her new family, protecting them even through death. *** SPOILERS ***
She is the true product that Rhythm was seeking to create. She is Cascade's daughter, augmented by dark magic, and retained in a child-like state due to trauma.
                      *** END SPOILERS ***
Zoe is a heavy, front-line fighter with inhuman strength and deadly weapons through her hands. During their journey, she discovers a red-headed doll in a razed field that she becomes inseparable with. (even going as far as making a hip-carrier for her, which is very discerning to see in battle.)

                      Prince Edmund
Edmund is very young for a ruler, having to sit on the throne in his father's stead due to the King's odd illness. He is rash and impulsive, but he still considers himself a good leader. When the sixth kingdom declare war on the world and began to show signs of a growing empire, he sought out counsel from the Silhouettes. This was after a massacre battle that he lead and barely escaped from. Edmund is a finesse fighter, and favors the foil to any other weapon. He is attractive and charismatic, and a bit of a playboy. He believes in chivalry above everything, and constantly trips himself up trying to impress members of the female gender. Due to a crucial plot point which the author has not yet thought up, he goes adventuring with Cascade's group and falls very heavily for one of the members.

I like the way Stilleto looks with the purple gown, and Edgechild's updated figure makes her look more feminine, where before I thought it was a guy until I read her description. =3

Seeing this in descriptions always makes me giggle. In a good way. =)

Don't know if I'm terribly fond of Edmund. He sounds like an effeminate womanizer with an inferiority complex that shows on the surface. And I should clarify here! The female is someone I'll fall in love with (in any way - paternally, as of kin, friends, or lovers), and what happens to her within the story isn't dependent on the males having a relationship with her. {=3

Given that, I'm drawn to Stilleto and Edgechild at this point. How old are they? It's really creepy if I fall for a 12-year-old or something. D=

Edgechild is 25 and Orb is about 23-24. Stiletto is probably about 200 or so, even though she looks about 26.
