    Battle Music

This is something that's been bugging me for awhile now. Is there any way to change the BGM for monster encounters? I know you can do it for events, but can it be done for the random encounters as well? Any way to change the level up jingle, too?

Nope, that's all set in stone.

Personally I don't see any reason to use a different battle theme anyway. The boss themes sound like they'd be better off staying boss themes, IMO. Really, the thing I don't like is that the music won't continue playing when you go in/out of a storyteller or a building, even if it plays the same music.

There's a simple way around that, actually. In the event list, you can go to property control and simply change the BGM for any area you want. Then, in a different event or mode, you can have it changed back the same way. This is a better method than simply "playing" the BGM's in events, if you're looking at a scene that spans across more than one area. The only thing it will not effect is battle music.

The music will still stop and restart when going into a building or storyteller sequence, though. You pretty much have to resort to giving the insides of buildings and storytellers a different BGM than what's playing in town in order for it to not seem as akward.

Ah, I see what you're saying. Yeah, that's true, the music track sort of restarts itself whenever you change zones that has the same track. That can be a bit annoying at times. I know of nothing that can fix that.

i think the "Standard Battle" music is terrible.

I use "Boss Battle 1" for each of my event battles.

I usually use standard battle, although I LOVE changing it up for certain event battles. For example, Carnival can make really good battle music in a tournament setting.

I really don`t care the "Standard Battle" theme. I think it`s "good". Not perfect, but good. However, I`d love to change it when I want.

I use "Boss Battle 1" for Boss Battles and "Boss Battle 3" for important Boss Battles.

I usually use "Boss Battle 2" and "Dark Castle" themes in the Storyteller to increase the climax in each one.

The only way you could do that would be to not have your random battles give you any experience points, and to set up events outside of battles where you were leveled up. In that case, you could create whatever sound effect you wanted for the leveling up.
