So I realized that before I put too much into my game I should make sure it's not a cliche crapfest. Basically, I'll post all I can and you give me your honest opinion. Well, away we go!

Game: Holy Word Exodus (dur hur hur)
System: RPGM3

Plot: The land of Altar was home to the legendary shamans, masters of nature that could work wonders. However, the Church of Our Lady of Holiness (also known as the Church of the Divine Mother and simply the Church of Our Lady) hated the shamans, as their practical brand of magic subverted worshippers from the once monothestic Church. There was a bloody conflict that ended in a way no one could have ever dreamed of.

The world exploded.

None were spared from the cataclysm of fire that followed: Except for Kantos, which was the site of the first Church of Our Lady. Using the Kantos Miracle as undeniable proof of the existance of Our Lady, they blamed the shamans for the death of the land, and quickly had them executed.

However, new shamans continued to be born. At first, they were executed as soon as their existance was made clear. However, their powers could be of use rebuilding the land. Thus, the shamans became slaves owned by the parents, as the teachings of the Gospel of Our Lady prohibited anything near human rights to shamans.

300 years later, a shaman, Sauros, his friend Alec and High Priest Maichin were out surveying the land when bitter words regarding the treatment of shamans get Sauros and Alec exilied from Kantos, the only civilized place in all of Altar. They discover new friends, enemies, lands, and secrets, and learn exactly what happened 300 years ago.

Features:

Epic maps free of random encounters, so you can explore to your hearts content.
Lack of currency (due to the lack of economy), forcing you to survive on your own
Unique dungeons that are more then hack and slash
Game long "redemption" sidequest that can affect the game immensly
Character swapping system that can lead to hidden items if used right

Also, I have to put in the bad news: none of the character models come close to what the characters look like.

So...questions? Comments? Concerns?

Something about it reminds me of La Puccelle Tactics (sp?). And how could someone survive from the explosion of a planet? BTW, what is this game on? RPGM1, 2, 3, XP, Game Maker?

It's the Church of the Divine Mother, which was a huge part of La Pucelle. I just thought it was good way to avoid typing The Church of Our Lady of Holiness over and over and over.

And how could someone survive from the explosion of a planet?
Well, I'll tell you. It's not a spolier, since it's in part two of the opening cutscene. See, the planet itself didn't explode: rather, there was a huge tectonic breach that turned Altar into basically a giant volcano. They say Kantos was spared by divine intervention, whether thats true will be seen by you when I release a demo.

BTW, what is this game on? RPGM1, 2, 3, XP, Game Maker?
RPGM3.

Thanks for posting, Jamos!

[EDIT: Had to get rid of the focus system, realized it woudln't work the way I thought it would. Buh.]
