    Do not lough

This is a clip from a Japanese TV show where the players are not allowed to laugh at the person who is trying to learn english. If they laugh then they get punished with a beating.

I kept a straight face right up until the guys in the masks came running in and smacked them with those sticks.

    Very nice.

'Cept I felt sorry for the poor guy that couldn't get 20 down. "Ten ten! Ten ten? -sob- Ten ten one, ten ten two, ten ten three, ect."

I feel bad for the guy in the video.

In a funny way though, I guess.

I didn't laugh, but I "loughed" many times.

"Ten ten ten ten ten ten ten ten ten ten". I'd like to see him do 1000.

I lost it when he tried to do 100.

In his defence, that's technically numbers work in japanese, so he's trying to translate that to english.

It suddenly makes sense that I used to count past twenty nine in the same manner.

That is, when I was less than five.

Math in Japan was invented by a toddler.

Also, that old man is creepy.

Ah, yes, the early days of counting. I once was able to count over 1000 in less than 5 minutes. Yup.
                            ...98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 200, 201...

At least, I would've been able to count to 1000 in less than 5 minutes, but my parents stopped me somewhere around 400.
