    Folklore: The Series

Well, it's been a few months now since I started this 10 episode internet series of mine for my friends to enjoy, but I feel it's time now to bring it in full to the Pavilion for some outside opinion.

I did post the original first episode a while ago, but here we are anyway.

So basically they have 7 episodes currently of the 10 episode season each episode averaging about 3-4 minutes in length. From what I've heard from other people and opinion, they believe it's an amusing and compelling show all at the same time taking elements from LOST.

Anyway, the link for the 7 episodes is right here: www.angelfire.com/games3/fnf/folklore.html

If you have time, check out the episodes, WATCH THEM IN ORDER, don't let the first episode scare you, that's very important, but I think many of you will enjoy it and get something out of it.

It's an episodic series. On the internet. Called Folklore.

If I told you, it'd immediately ruin it. IT's supposed to be viewed completely blind, episode by episode.

By the way, I love you Mora you crazy bastard.

First criticism: why is this person stupidly fingering things in the pantry? It doesn't even look like he's doing it to find something.

            Second criticism: [edited for harshness]

              You know you love it.

What was your second criticism? Nothing is too harsh for me or this holy place.

Okay, because I have your permission:

                OMG SPOILERS

The first episode seemed like a giant waste of time. So you make the viewer watch this doof make chili, spill some on a sweatshirt and then freak out when his mom tells him he needs to come with her to the mall. First of all, there were unnecessary mannerisms up the wazoo. Second of all, it makes no sense for the protagonist to flip his lid over having a stain on a sweatshirt. He could get another sweatshirt or just do without, if need be. I guess it's supposed to be comedical, but I wasn't laughing. I skipped through stetches of it and it didn't seem like it mattered much in terms of plot. Do I a) sit there and watch chili being microwaved or b) skip to the kid eating the chili like a silly person?

Well, Jonathan, you have cleared the first step. Now all you have to do is see the second episode to see where this all was going.

By the way it's not comedic. Which makes sense after viewing the second episode.

                    [watches the second episode]

Are you sure this isn't comedic?

                      It has its overtones.

But as you can see the plot slowly develops into something wonderful.

Criticism: I thought those introductions of each episode (you know, where they'd show clips of the previous episode) were just time consuming and unnecessary. For an example, when I watched the 6th episode, the entire episode took up just about 3 minutes, but when the actual episode started a whole one minute just went by. The introduction took about 1/3 of the entire episode! Now, it's okay to do this if your episodes were longer, but if an episode is going to be like 2 or 3 minutes long, I consider you just leave the intro out.
