    Crud! (Corrupt file)

I just know there was a topic relating to this somewhere here or at the Mag, fairly recent too, but I can't find it and a search isn't turning up anything (unless I'm supposed to be looking for something off-topic).

My MaxDrive just put a corrupt file on my memory card. I've evacuated all my other files (one of which is JH3D; glad that's safe), but this corrupt file won't go away with either PS2's memory card interface or my Max Drive's, and I fail to see a "reformat" option anywhere.

I dunno if this is 100% true or not but the reformat option in the MAX Drive memory card menu has a chance of corrupting the whole card!

trust me... I should know... the card that had most of my RPGM2 games that I had put on it using my Max Drive got corrupted because of that and now I can't put ANY RPGM2 files on it or they will go corrupt. Luckly I have all my other PS2 games on backup memory cards though or I would have been in REAL trouble!

Something that just occurred to me... My scanner makes use of a program called PaperPort, and paper port saves its files as, of all things, .max files, the same as Max Port files. When viewing Max Port files, it shows them using PaperPort's icon. I wonder if that is the cause of the problem.

            EDIT: Nope, just a coincidence.

nah, the icons just have to do with file associations. the max drive, like all file transfer devices just has a habit of occasionally corrupting data.

Well, I had to be certain, since that last file was the first file I downloaded since I got this scanner, and it was the first time that I had any trouble with my Max Drive.

Sure does make me wonder what would it would look like if I popped it up in that program, though.
