Is there a way to just mark the forum your reading as read? It doesn't seem like it's updating unless I read every post, and i really don't want to do that.

Re: Mark THIS forum?
When viewing a list of topics, towards the upper-right portion of the page, there's a box called "Forum Tools". Click the drop down arrow, and select "mark this forum read".
I think this is what you're after.

Re: Mark THIS forum?
I still don't understand the concept of marking forums read. For me topics that I've not read are bolded, after I read them they become unbolded, and then if someone posts again in that topic it becomes rebolded. I really think that that feature adds tremendously. The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

Re: Mark THIS forum?
cool, glad i could help. those drop-down boxes are everywhere.
edit: and i think the point is if you decide you don't care about any of the stuff you haven't read, and just want it all to be unbolded anyway. I've never used the "mark as read" deal, but I'm guessing that's why people use it.Last edited by Czechs Mex; 02-04-2005, 01:19 PM.

Re: Mark THIS forum?
I'm having the same problem as Bran Muffin. I marked this forum read to see what it will do and now none of the topics are bold. And these are posts that were made long after I marked the forum. The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.
