Xeno is finishing up voiceover, and then I'm going to release "The Gay" on The Movies Online website. Let's see if they post it even if I've taken out some risky dialogue.
ANYway, my next project is called "To Live, To Dream." It's about a young business manager who's father was an inventor, and upon his untimely death, he was left in his will an invention he was wary to release to the public. Why? Because it gives you the ability to instantly dream lucidly, with full control. You have control over this fully realistic world at your fingertips, and can be or do whatever you want, whatever your mind is capable of.
His first, of course, is to rush it out to market and make millions, figure out how to mass produce it and market it. He gets a few of his close friends involved, and there is early celebration, but not all is well. One of them has moral problems with it, such as what if one became too addicted to this false reality more than the real world. The counterpoint to this is that they wouldn't be doing anything good for the world anyway, they'd just be distracted by something else.
Another question brought up would be about how life is about dealing with the things that you CAN'T control, and figuring out how to deal with those. The scientist is worried about how this technology taps into the human brain, and what it could lead to. They also haven't tested it much, and don't know the long term effects, and also start to mistrust each other based on each other's moral and personal motivations.
I REALLY want to make people think with this movie, and I can't wait to get started. I might ask for voiceovers here for those interested when I'm done with the first episode, and I intend on making this at least 3 episodes long, at least 5 minutes each. What do you guys think?
