I give you...THE GAY (updated!)

So, I picked up The Movies again after a 6 month hiatus, and finally got back to work on my movie, THE GAY. It's a short movie about what happens in a small town when gay marriage is legalized, and The Gay spreads like wildfire! Our Christian protagonist couple must escape the town with the help of a gun crazy mayor, where they can screw like rabbits like God intended.

I'm still going to add sound effects and voiceovers, but I still thinks it stands up pretty well by itself so far. Let me know any suggestions you have and tell me wacha think!!!

Now with all new swanky sound effects and dialougue...I haven't recorded all the sound and I'm going to redo some of the lines because a lot of the recording was just to test it. A lot of the dialogue is going to get scaled down because I tried fitting in too much in a too short amount of time. It'll come out good, though...we'll just paraphrase and get it right. Still not finished, probably the next iteration posted will be the final.

Yup! And lots more. I really intend to get back into this and make some more movies after I finish the effects and voiceover for this one.

I just put it on sandbox mode w/ everything automatic, so you don't have to worry about that stuff. The sound effects in right now are just standard, but you can put better ones in in post production. I think you can import your own sound fx too, and I plan to use "YMCA" every time the Villiage People come on screen.

They really would've been better off just releasing The Movies as a movie maker and left the sim game out altogether.

Agreed...although I see how they would try to pull in the Sims crowd. I was intrigued by the idea of the success of your movie online effecting the outcome of your income in game, but...damn, I just want to make movies and have people see them online!

It's fun just downloading it. According to my taskbar I currently have 81% of The GAY. I would've thought it was a little more than that.

And now I've watched it. Hilarious! I love that the Village People were coming at him with a banana. And when he stabbed that guy in the face! It's better than have the movies in theaters. I watched the top rated videos on The Movies website and it made me not want the game. This changed my mind.

How about this for a sequel? A straight, married couple unsuspectingly moves into a gay neighborhood. Later that night the gays try to give them THE GAY! The couple board up the house, but they break through... Now, stuck in the basement, how will they escape from THE GAY? On second thought, that probably is a bad idea.

Kire, that was AMAZING! Very entertaining, funny and dramatic. Loved it!

How many hours did it take you to put that together?

Are you able to make a video file right out of the program, are do you have to use some other software to make the video file?
