Re: Wii for 150?
I rather doubt it will be that cheap. And it wouldn't be the first time games released for a new Nintendo system early. If I recall, Star Wars Rogue Squadron II released about a week before GameCube came out."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Re: Wii for 150?
Nintendo usually sells systems above cost, so they profit off console sales. they havent taken a loss on console sales in... um, I dont think they have ever done it that I'm aware of.
So it could be possible that they're willing to take a hit on the console price to get it lower.

Re: Wii for 150?
it might make up for the fact that we'll be buying nes games at full price.
nintendo has a powerful moneymaker on their hands... wii is essentially a nostalgia DREAM MACHINE. i can only imagine how many people will buy the entire mario collection on the first night (i know earthbound will be in my hands the first night).

Re: Wii for 150?
That is undoubtably in the realm of possibility. Every console since SNES has launched for $199 in spite of inflation. The GC is more powerful than the PS2, and was sold at that very same price point.
I wouldn't put it past them. The tech in Wii is lovably cheap in contrast.
I think NES games will just cost a couple of bucks. Maybe a five spot for SNES games.Last edited by RPGD; 05-31-2006, 07:59 PM.

Re: Wii for 150?
Nintendo's online service is free. the only part of it that will cost money is when you download games for the virtual console.I just hope the online cost isn't too much.
Buh?it might make up for the fact that we'll be buying nes games at full price.Last edited by Valkysas; 05-31-2006, 08:03 PM.
