    RPGMM Awards are OVER!

    Link for the lazy.
    http://www.rpgmmag.com/forums/index.php?f=51

Update: A new category has been added called "Most Promising Demo" at the urge several people. It will be open for the best demos and unfinished works. For all other categories, the games must still be completed.

    From the RPGMM Front Page:

Yes, that's correct. The RPGMM Awards will be showing up this summer. More specifically, it will be back on August 10th, 2006.

Back in the day, this showcased the cream of the crop of RPG Makers, and so shall it again! Each RPG Maker will have a separate category, in which there shall be multiple awards.

    Overall Awards
Mastiphal -- Awarded to games that are perfect, or close to it.

Golden Journey -- Awarded to the greatest epic games.

LMAO!! -- Awarded to the funniest games.

WTF? -- Awarded to the strangest games out there.

    Technical Awards

Rulebreaker -- Awarded to games that redefine what can be done in RPG Maker.

Graphic Sage -- Awarded to games with outstanding graphical design.

Gameplay Guru -- Awarded to games that are extremely fun to play.

Game Plague -- Awarded to games that are extremely bad.

All RPG Maker games are eligible to win awards this year. However, only games made between the end of the Awards and the beginning of the next Awards will be allowed next year.

Here's where the community comes in.

A forum will be created (it will be free for all visitors to post in; you don't have to register on the forums) for each RPG Maker, and members of the community will be free to nominate any game of their choosing for each award until August 2nd, 2006, 11:59pm EST.

Note: If you're working on a game, get it done by then.

Then, they will be put to polls to allow everyone in the community to vote on. The top 2 in each category will receive awards, which will be noted in the RPGMM Game Vault and be used as that developer sees fit to promote his or her game.

Results will be shown on August 10th, 2006, after 7 days of voting.

    Nominations start June 1, 2006.

I doubt I'll finish by August 2nd, but you never know. I may be entering that.

I've finished a game in 2 months before.

The games don't have to be long, by the way.

Also, if you really wanted to compete for an award, it might be good to concentrate on a specific one, like going for "Graphic Sage" and really polishing the game.

There's a little less than one month before the RPGMM Awards nominations close!

I think "DOOR: The Game" should win all those catagories.

Should I submit Presto to the MAG?
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.
I had no idea how beautiful you were.

How do you do that?! I just learned how to do RPGM3 today, so mine won't even compare.

Well it was on RPGM1, and I have a vast experience with working with it. So it didn't take long at all.

Love the "most promising demo" thing. Although whatever I have of Torayu will be really short then, it's not that linear anyway so at least it will be fun. A nice way to show off game mechanics and still have plenty of time to make it good.

In fact, I'm sure a lot of people are considering doing what I'm considering doing (demo for the RPGMM awards, and finish by November 1st for the Pav contest.)

No, that's not necessary (though I wouldn't mind having it on).

                          Any game, anywhere is acceptable.

You just gotta nominate it, though!

                            Three more days left! Hurry!
