    Energy drinks

For anyone that drinks them, what is your favorite energy drink?

I'd have to say probably Rockstar, possibly Full Throttle (even though that's low-power compared to other energy drinks). I also drink a lot of Rip-It, which is only $.99 a 16 oz can. It actually tastes pretty good, and comes in three flavors. Kronik is not too bad, either, nor is Boo-Koo. I'm also partial to Rumba and Monster Khaos (both with juice). So, what about you?

      Re: Energy drinks

I used to drink all sorts of energy drink crap every day. I gave up those types of drinks and all regular sodas on April 11th of this year. I've had two regular sodas since then.

I feel better now that I've switched to water, tea and carbonated fruit juice.

I've never had any of those that you've mentioned.

        I like MDX.

You've never heard of Rockstar?! It's probably the most widely consumed besides Monster. And MDX tastes good, and is a bit cheaper than most energy drinks, but it doesn't have the same kick. The taurine content is a bit lower. Oh, and I just recently got some taurine pills from this vitamin place. 1000 mg...yes, I'm addicted.

Nope. I live in a small town - haven't seen it around.

I have MONSTER every now and then. It's a'ight.

Whenever I have a test I buy a Monster or two and spend the entire night studying. I like the original green. It tastes like Sweet Tarts. ^_^

I've actually never heard of any of those drinks. My knowledge of energy drinks is quite short anyway. I'm not to sure if this would be considered an energy drink, but I enjoy Vault. I'm not too sure if it is a soda or an energy drink... or maybe its a soda that wants to be an energy drink. Oh well, its not a big deal.

Your second choice was more apropos...I drink it myself, but it has no taurine, guarana, ginseng, B-vitamins or anything. Just caffeine. But it tastes good!

There is also evidence that excess taurine in adults causes hypertension. However, its positive and negative effects in humans have not been fully documented.

I'm painfully addicted to energy drinks, as I mentioned previously. I really can't go a day without drinking at least one, usually 2, sometimes 3. They said in the wikipedia article that is might help me lose weight on a high fat diet. However, because of all the empty calories in energy drinks, I've gained quite a few pounds in the last few years. *sigh* Such is the price of addiction.

I was addicted to Red Bull and KMX (orange) drinks for over three years. I decided that I was spending too much money on them (and other sodas), and they were not good for my overall health.

It's just not worth it. You can get caffiene from other less harmful sources. You existed without these drinks before, and you can exist without them again.

I never cared for energy drinks much. but Jagermeister is excellent when mixed with Red Bull.
