I'm learning to make sprites...

...and I got a long way to go. So I was thinking before I clutter up my game on game maker with crappy sprites that I should get some practice in. So I'm going to make a short Pavilion like Twisted Metal to help me polish my skills. Well, I'll get to the point, describe a car you think would best represent you and I'll make a sprite of it. Then I will post it here and ask for some advice about making it look better. As for describing a car, it doesn't have to be realistic or even an existing car. It could be something as bizarre as a giant tricicle with cookie wheels. Please do help, I need the practice.

Only I'm converting mine to battery electric. I will be painting it that dark British Racing Green in the car above, no racing stripes or any of that. I am also going to install rear wheel skirts like a Honda Insight has and install a shaved door handle kit(ie. you won't see any door handles on the outside of the car).

Some interesting stuff so far. These will be fun to make, expecially the flying banana. Toecutter, that is one sweet ride you got there. That one will probably take a while to make, but will be pretty damn cool. So who else wants a car?

I'd drive this with a harpoon gun at the front. Fluttering ribbons on the back of the fan would be cool too.

You have to make me driving a giant eggplant with round erasers for wheels and a huge mechanical pencil that shoots out lead pins as my attack. And my special attack would involve tenticles and the people closest to me.

So it has been said, so it will be done...but they don't have cars yet. I will try to get as many sprites as I can, done tomorrow. This will be fun.

Kefka, Magus and I would combine our powers and become a black silhouette at the bottom of the screen that destroys all the other cars with our taunting.

Okay, here is my first attempt at making one of these cars.

The Fried Banana Prototype 1 (ignore the green background. It is invisible in game maker.)


Not exactly a masterpiece, but I tried. I don't think it is too shabby for a first try.
