Re: Final Fantasy XIII (if you did'nt like VIII run for it!)
Seems like Yuna got a sex change, started working as a geisha, but got caught up in some cliche conspiracy... which oddly, is getting televised on FOX tonight.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII (if you did'nt like VIII run for it!)
This is GREAT news! I was waiting for the next installment of Final Fantasy to suck so I wouldn't even have to think about getting a PS3, and now Square does the BEST THING EVER! The more this game is like FF8, the better. KUDOS SQUARE!
Re: Final Fantasy XIII (if you did'nt like VIII run for it!)
The setting looks like a refreshing change of pace, but not much else. The androgynous characters are stale, and have been stale since FFVIII 7 years ago.

I have pretty much ceased to care about Final Fantasy.
About the same here, I just don't find the point of playing them anymore. Square may have top notched eye candy, but the story is recycled over and over. Also the battle systems for the FF series is pretty bland now-a-days. IMO, the best battle system came from FFX-2 (too bad that is the only good part about that game.) I personally, enjoy the less popular games like the Shin Megami series, Shadow Hearts, Xenogears. I find they have unique or at least have interesting stories and enjoyable gameplay.

Aside from the gunsword and the 90%-not-fantasy-ness, I don't see the resemblence to FF8.
