so an in-game cinema? sure. just use events to move the characters around, make them talk, stuff like that. real easy.

Hm, but it makes me wonder. Is there a way to acutally insert some type of video clip into your program? Or have it pause the game program and open a clip seperately? Maybe you'd just have to include the video in the zip file and have a message pop up to tell the player to watch it. But either way it opens up some possibilities for people with the option of making some kind of FMV.

Might be possible to load a movie using the RGSS editor. Otherwise, the only other possibility I could think of is stringing a bunch of pictures together. Or maybe do like in TV shows where you have the background, and you have the animated characters acting on top of the background. That would probably be easier.

Someone made a RGSS script that let's you play .avi movie files in RMGMXP.

I'll go to RMXP.net (It's up for now) and look in the scripts section. You'll have to register though.
