Eve of Sadness Done, Pending Upload

    Edit 06/02/06:

EoS is complete. I am in the process of trying to get it hosted right now. My internet connection is down at home, so I have it with me, burned onto a CD, and it will hopefully be at its permanent location today or Monday.

The only feature that I wanted to implement, but couldn't, is to make the dialogue boxes scrollable with the joystick. For some reason, you just can't do that with Game Maker, which is annoying. Other than that, I am happy with how it turned out.

I'll keep you guys posted when it is hosted.

The sequel to Eve of Emotion, titled Eve of Sadness, gosh I must have been designing this thing forever and a day now. It's finally coming together.

Only 20% complete, and I can't wait to show off the finished version! (I hope some of you guys still care, lol).

Just don't rush it and EoS should be a pretty good game, once finished.

I sure hope people like it. All that matters though is that I am having a TON of fun designing this thing. It's a blast.

I forget. What are you using to make this? Game Maker?

He's using game maker to make the game. I tried using game maker once, but then I realized... I had no idea how to use it and you need to make your own sprites (I suck at sprites.) Anyone that can pull off some cool **** with this has my respect.

Yes, it is being designed with Game Maker.

              What's the difference between a Sci-fi based storyline and a sci-fi storyline?

One has sci-fi elements while the other is sci-fi?

That doesn't make any damn sense!

                  It's so damn redundant!

                      I agree, don't overthink things.

The storyline has alot of scifi elements, but is not core scifi, like your X-files and your Star Treks.

ooooooh, it looks pretty cool. you'll have to post more. I'm interested to see the battle system you concoct.

I'd like to post action scenes, however I'm scared to, because all of the graphics are placeholder. Since I have no custom sprites right now, the player sprite is used for everything until I get custom sprites.

I wasn't aware that The X-Files was core sci-fi. It's 50% alien/government conspiracy, 50% oddball cases related in some way to a science fiction concept, which more often than not are explained away in scientific terms, no matter how vague and incorrect those explanations are.

It's a critique on the sci-fi genre, at best.

But that's neither here nor there.
