Maybe they'll get it right this time. It sounds like they have learned something by finally getting rid of all of Sonic's friends.

Me and Magus were in agreement that the new Sonic trailer looked great until the other characters showed up.

If there is a NiGHTS game for Wii, I will sacrifice my first-born to Yuji Naka.

I can't understand a single thing Iwata says.

                Oh, Miyamoto.

                ...

                I am Iwata.

NOOOOOo! I just lost connection! It won't play anymore!!!

If they wind up showing stuff from the Virtual Console, I'll cry.

And now it's telling me the stream is only for GameSpot members. I'm logged in. They must've switched it to paying members.

                  *sees next post*
                  Oh nevermind.

                    Re: Nintendo's E3 Conference

Conference is over. Started off with Miyamoto in a tux conducting a symphony with the Wii controler. It was crazy.

They showed off quite a few games, and demo'd plenty, too (Zelda, Red Steel, etc.). One of the games they showed off was Super Mario Galaxy, and others include Excitetruck, Project H.A.M.M.E.R, Disaster, Hyper Sonic and MP3: Corruption. Also, that tennis game is actually a part of a compilation called Wii Sports, which has baseball, tennis and golf. The game controls looked very intuitive for all the demos they showed off. Wario Ware looked especially insane.

They talked about a special power system for the consoles called Wii Connect 24, which removes startup time almost completely, and keeps the console perpetually connected to the Internet and providing services even whilst it's off. It even has a sleep mode.

They decided to hold back some stuff because of what Sony pulled yesterday, so the price wasn't announced, nor were a couple of other things. However, 27 games will be playable on the show floor, and even more in video form.

Also, some new DS titles were announced, like Starfox DS, Yoshi's Island 2 and Diddy Kong Racing, plus Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon and a new Mario Vs. Donkey Kong.

It ended with the winner of the play Wii first contest and Miyamoto Vs. Reggie and Iwata in a Wii Tennis battle to the death. Miyamoto reigned supreme. The depth perception of the speakers in the controler adds significantly to the experience.

It wasn't an explosion of information, but it was a lovely demonstration of how the controler actually works, and all the nifty support it's getting. I wanna Wii now.

                    Kire owes me a fifty.

Ah, yes, almost forgot. Console's set for 4th quarter of this year, and Zelda: TP will be released with it simultaneously.

Two versions of the game are being released, if I recall exactly. One for Wii and one for GC.

Yuji Naka left sega. he's starting his own company. he will never have any involvement with another NiGHTS or Sonic game again.

                            Re: Nintendo's E3 Conference

I was kinda hoping they'd show something from the Virtual Console (until I got kicked off). Nice to know I didn't miss much. I got cut off as they were explaining how to play the tennis game.

Which means, I can celebrate, as this is the best E3 Nintendo has had, EVER!

Of interesting note is that the Zelda GameCube game won't have Wii features when played on Wii. Instead, there's going to be a GameCube version AND a Wii version! Guess which version I'm getting.

Super Mario Galaxy looked awesome. (Visually, I can't say, as I'm restricted to a very blurry-when-in-motion setting.) I'll be getting that at launch as well as Smash Bros. 3 (though they didn't show that, or mention that, and maybe it won't really be a launch title, as they didn't announce those).

I'm excited about Yoshi's Island 2, the OFFICIAL sequel to the SNES game (Yoshi's Story was more of a spin-off). I didn't think to look to see if Baby Mario was in there, though. The game looks just like the original game, with the colored-pencil look. The viewing area seemed to be occupying both screens, with Yoshi on the bottom screen.

Nintendo seems to be making an M-rated game. That would be the Disaster game, which involves the end of the world (there was a mega volcano eruption, as well as a giganto tidal wave).

And I'm sure somebody's already trying to post all this, so I'm gonna stop here and say I posted it first. (Or maybe I didn't. I won't know until I hit the submit button.)

The new company still has ties to Sega. They are paying for 10% of it or something. They'll probably publish his games too. The rumor on the japanese mag said that Naka and his new company will bring the game that stars a flying pierrot to Wii or something like that.
