    Zelda TP & Phantom Hourglass @ E3

    Just to get the ball rolling, here are the TP EGM scans and details.

    from http://www.thehylia.com/joomla/index...d=29&Itemid=33
    * Zelda is 80% complete, delay was for graphic tweaks, wii functions and because they want the game to be measured on a scale of 1 to 120 instead of 1 to 100.
    * NO SWINGING THE CONTROLLER for the sword, you just press a button. There are some cases where you will swing though. Reason = you'll get tired too fast
    * Controller does sound effects
    * Widescreen on the REV only
    * Navi is only when you play on the REV
    * Something with online is planned but no battle mode
    * More dungeons than OOT already
    * More items too

    and the (pre-E3) Phantom Hourglass video - http://www.nintendo.com/pop_video.vm...600&height=420

    I'll post the new pics as soon as they come out. If I'm awake.

      Hear that? That's someone dropping the ball.
      The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

        ^LOL

        You could just have a short swinging session. People who play to tiredness are gonna do it regardless anyway.

          The accelerometer nanchaku would make for a damn sweet shield in addition to the sword. But that should be saved for a Wii-focused Zelda.

            No. I think I lost some of my hearing after hearing Sony drop the ball last night.

              I know I'm going to swing regardless and just push the button at the same time. But seriously, as I've said before this is the perfect application for the Wii's controller. You know everyone was just dying to know if they could swing Link's sword. I honestly don't understand how someone could think that it's not a good idea. At the very least they could do something where it's optional or you can change the controller settings or something, anything, so you can swing it.

              Really what's the point of Wiifying it if your not going to use it. I expect this from Sony, but not Nintendo.

                They're probably saving the all swinging, all wiimote Zelda for later. Using it for the bow and fishing seems like enough for me for TP. This is still a GC game and the Wii functions are just a bonus. At least I think it's still a GC game.

                  More dungeons than OoT? That's the best news so far! Screw Wii compatibility! Just get me this game on the GC PRONTO.

                    If by pronto you mean October.

                      Sure. October will work. Just as long as they don't delay it anymore to make unnecessary additions.

                        I'm pretty sure this means it's still mostly a GameCube game.

                        I like how they're saying (essentially) that the game is bigger than OoT. That game had 11 or 12 dungeons already (which gave the game quite an epic feel).

                        Now the sound effect in the controller? Is that an unannounced feature of the Revmote?

                          The Wiitroler has a speaker and a mic in it.

                            Okay, that interests me and worries me at the same time. The puzzle solving looks cool, but then there's the boat-riding...
