Has anyone been able to use Trendmicros house call to scan their machine? I have tried several times tonight and I keep getting Java errors and stuff.

Re: Housecall
Not in a long time. On my Windows box I've been using AVG Antivirus, the free version, so everything is done through that. Don't know how good AVG is, but it updates alot (every two days) and I never have had a virus since I installed it. (Take that as you will).AIM: JeremyLaCroix

Re: Housecall
Well ok, I was just wondering if this is something wrong with the site or if its me. My cousin brought her lap top over because she has been having some problems. I tried scanning her computer and it would never load completely. SO I tried scanning mine and the same thing happened.

Re: Housecall
Oh, sorry. I thought you were just looking for any scanner in general. If housecall doesn't work by tomorrow I would say to get a software based scanner and try that.AIM: JeremyLaCroix

Re: Housecall
PC-Cillin by TrendMicro is acctually an incredible Virus software, I got mine fro $20 at Best Buy and it updates a minimum of 3 times a day. Has yet to miss anything and as far as I can tell handles pretty much all it encounters.
Snarf, you may want to upgrade your Java applet then try and run Housecall again, that or check out Pandasoftware's similar program on their website. Just trying to help.
