Its a horror movie, there were three seperate stories in it. I can't remember the name of it but the first story was about giant rats, the second was about some ancient tiki-looking doll coming to life and killing people with a hatchet. The third story I think was about a widow whose son had drowned that lived by the ocean/sea. Her son's ghost visited her or something. I saw this when I was very little. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like something like the Twilight Zone or something.The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.
